INKJET DRIVEN INNOVATION Mouvent UV inkjet technology self-developed by Bobst can be found in the All-in-One machine Master DM5, the Mouvent LB701-UV and the
Mouvent LB702-UV digital label presses delivering sharp images, vibrant colours, fine lines and smooth gradients. Setting new standards with their superb print quality thanks to the 1200 x 1200 dpi native resolution, the presses offer an extended digital colour gamut, 70% high opacity white and printing speeds that goes up to 100 m/min.
The Master DM5 is an All-in-One, All-Inline label press that provides priming, printing, embellishment and cutting as a unified workflow, enabling the production of high-quality labels in one pass with just one operator. The modular press is configured with technology that is wholly owned and developed by Bobst, so converters have only one point of contact. Featuring seamless integration between digital and flexo, coupled with the highest degree of automation, the Master DM5 delivers a superior level of productivity and profitability. With Bobst DigiFlexo, converters can automate length and side register setup and control during setup and production, even between flexo and digital, and the short web path of this compact machine means that waste is reduced. For standalone UV inkjet printing, the high- productivity Mouvent LB702-UV label press can print any jobs from short to medium and medium to long run lengths. The 100 m/min print speed translates to a monthly output of 200,000 sqm in one daily shift of eight hours. Using Bobst oneECG (Extended Colour Gamut) technology, the press can achieve the widest gamut in this category with six colours (CMYK+ orange and violet), without slowing down. White ink can be added as an option to print 70% opacity at 45 m/min.
The smaller version, the LB701-UV inkjet label press, is a great option for printers wishing to enter digital production for the first time or for those that require high versatility and low waste for ultra-short to medium runs. It is capable of printing at 70 m/min in four to six colours, in the same high resolution and can be upgraded to the Mouvent LB702-UV label should the need arise.
DIGITALISING FLEXO PRINTING On the flexo side, the Master M5 and Master M6 feature the ultimate in digitalization with technologies that include DigiFlexo and oneECG. Added to that, with Ink-on-Demand (IoD) and DigiColor, Bobst has digitalised ink handling, colour matching and colour management, including inline closed-loop colour control.
The high-performance flexo presses also deliver outstanding productivity through automation features such as Excelprint automatic non-stop job change, PrintTutor automatic register set-up and control, and PrintTutor Plus full servo-controlled pressure adjustment.
At entry-level, the Vision M1 is a flexo press that will deliver consistent performance in quality and repeatability year after year. Easy to use for less skilled operators, this affordable and reliable flexo press is available in web widths of 370 and 430 mm and comes with inline converting. It can run at speeds up to 180 m/min.
