Industry News Editor’s Comment

Well, we’re deep in autumn now with the clocks going back, making the nights draw in earlier, and temperatures dropping. But it’s not just the seasonal shift that is affecting the market, as converters continue to adapt to changes in regulations, finding new ways to utilise lightweight and recyclable materials. Interestingly, this month

our features take us slightly further away from that topic, which we covered a fair amount in our October issue (So if you haven’t yet, go and check it out) and towards digitalisation in printing, not just in the presses themselves but also at how software and control systems can be used to better streamline production. Alongside that, we also take a look at coating and laminating as

well as cutting systems and luxury packaging. Following this edition we’ll be taking a slight hiatus, with our next issue out at the start of the new year, so I would like to take use of this editor’s comment to wish you a very happy, albeit slightly premature Christmas and New years. This being only my fourth edition of Converter and the beginning of a year signifying everything it does, I am very excited to see what next year brings and what advancements and improvements I can make in my skills myself and also, hopefully, this fine magazine. I hope you enjoy this issue, the last of 2025, and I shall see you again in the next one.
