BOOSTING PRODUCTIVITY IN THE CUTTING OF INDUSTRIAL ADHESIVE FILMS In sectors ranging from automotive and electronics to construction and household appliances, adhesive fi lms have become a widely used alternative to screws, rivets or welding. Their advantages are compelling: reduced weight, high durability and clean surfaces. However, the cutting of these materials is a critical step, and often a bottleneck. Traditional blade-based methods often struggle with sticky residues that contaminate tools, leading to frequent cleaning, tool replacement and inconsistent results. Laser cutting, in contrast, provides a non-contact solution that eliminates mechanical wear and maintains precision across production runs. eurolaser’s CO2 laser systems have long delivered outstanding results in this fi eld. CONTINUOUS WORKFLOW WITH THE TWIN TABLE SYSTEM


The Twin Table System introduces a key advancement: while one carrier is being processed by the laser, the


second can be loaded or unloaded. This shuttle principle allows for continuous operation and minimises downtime. A permanent vacuum ensures stable material fi xation throughout – even during table changeovers – guaranteeing consistent cutting accuracy.


This uninterrupted vacuum also ensures that downstream processes, such as the application of protective liners or carrier fi lms, can be carried out without the risk of shifting the material. Additionally, the system’s integrated extraction feature removes cutting emissions at source, ensuring clean working surfaces and maintaining material integrity.


The twin tables can be operated individually or in tandem, allowing for the processing of large-format materials. Automation options range from manual to fully automated systems, supporting 24/7 production environments. For integration into existing workfl ows, the Twin Table System is available for the eurolaser base system XL-1600.


IDEAL FOR PROCESSING HIGH-BOND AND TECHNICAL ADHESIVE TAPES Adhesive films processed with eurolaser systems include well-known brands such as 3M’s VHB tapes, Orafol’s UHB foils and tapes from Lohmann, and tesa. All of these materials have been classified by eurolaser as suitable for laser cutting after extensive testing.


The laser enables kiss-cutting, intricate contouring with almost zero radius and seamless format transitions – whether the material is in roll or sheet form. For roll- based applications, the Conveyor System is available; for sheets, the Shuttle Table or Twin Table System offers ideal conditions. Combined with software-based contour adjustments, manufacturers benefit from short setup times and quick design changes, even during active production. The result: minimal waste, maximum flexibility and top- tier product quality.


SCALABLE TECHNOLOGY, MODULAR SYSTEM


eurolaser’s modular concept allows for tailored configurations, including laser powers from 60 to 650 watts and table sizes up to 3,210 x 3,200 mm.
