Emtec presents its smart measurement solutions at IMPS

The International Munich Paper Symposium opened its doors for the 34th time and welcoming experts from the paper, board and tissue industry. The modern FPO Fiber Potential Analyzer Online measuring device was

presented again this year. This process-integrated zeta potential measuring device operates automatically and delivers data on zeta potential, streaming potential, conductivity, pH value and temperature to the process control system or to a secure data cloud for worldwide remote access, depending on the process settings, approximately every ten minutes. The ACA Ash Content Analyzer is used to detect the total content of mineral fi llers and the individual minerals and fi llers in paper and board products, delivering

accurate results within one minute without destroying the sample. It is the fi rst of its kind and replaces the traditional, time-consuming and energy-intensive combustion method. The TSA Tactile Sensation Analyzer (better known as the Tissue Softness Analyzer) has been modernised and equipped with additional functions. The objective determination of the handfeel or softness of base and fi nished products is standard practice in the tissue industry. The additional optional functions include the measurement of thermo-haptic properties and surface friction.
