LEIMER, a highly professional manufacturer of inspection systems, has now been brought on board as a strategic partner. The two companies have jointly developed the 200 % SMARTSCAN inspection system. An innovative feature of the 200 %
SMARTSCAN allows the printed films to be simultaneously checked for so-called “pinholes” and print deviations. To avoid downtimes, careful attention has
been paid to enabling flexible use of punching tools and embossing units. Fast tool changes and diverse applications are the focus here – the production parameters for the respective application are stored in the software and can

be recalled at any time for the corresponding process. A constant challenge is the punching of thin materials, since the material thickness is repeatedly reduced for cost reasons. Thanks to the use of state-of-the-art
production technology in the area of tool making, both the punches and the dies consist entirely of carbide and thus achieve a longer service life with significantly higher precision than can be achieved via conventional methods. The possibility of using carbon tool frames
also means that the mechanical flywheel mass can be significantly reduced. The force- transmitting elements are thus optimally protected and wear is significantly reduced. The fast and precise drive technology, which
reliably synchronizes with the pneumatic elements, provides a versatile punching system that is highly productive for aluminum foil, various plastic films, composite materials and paper from the roll. Naturally, the system is available with an in-line integrated embossing station and optional CLEVER STAMP system for full, partial and logo embossing. In addition to the machine’s impressive
standard specification, an extensive selection of optional equipment, data communication and adaptable scanning systems removes virtually all limits for the production of flat or deep-drawn aluminum lids (fully or partially embossed), flat lids and labels/plastic labels, composite films or paper. Furthermore, special emphasis was placed
on efficient energy consumption during this relaunch. By using the latest motor technology and feedback of the idle current, a remarkable reduction in energy consumption was achieved, bringing the system fully in line with current trends. This highly flexible die-cutting system
makes the WEBMASTER CUBE an economical and efficient all-rounder, which can also be used to process films that have been printed using the web offset process. From professional consulting to project
