Pro Carton strengthens its position to help industry succeed
Members of CEPI Cartonboard and Pro Carton have announced that they will merge into one strong association under the name Pro Carton, following a 12- month f consultation. The final merger is expected to take place mid-2024 after all legal procedures are successfully met. The merger will create a more effective and efficient group that has a
stronger voice throughout the carton industry. This will include several new working streams, each devoted to driving synergies, improving the associations’ representation and support it offers member organisations. Michele Bianchi, chief executive of RDM Group, will continue in the position
of president of Pro Carton. Neil Fox of Metsä Board will become vice-president; Horst Bittermann will continue to lead the transformation and merger of the two associations in the role of general director; Winfried Mühling keeps responsibility as marketing and communications director. Mr Bianchi said: “This merger will create a stronger association that will ensure
Pro Carton are prepared for the future of the European cartonboard and folding carton industry. “With a stronger voice, cooperation across industry borders, and closer collaboration with ECMA, our union will deliver the support needed for the sustainable growth of our industry.”

ABG’s global distributors and sales teams gather for training events
A B Graphics International (ABG) said it has successfully concluded two-day training events for its global distributors and sales teams. The events provided participants with
comprehensive knowledge of ABG’s latest technology and product capabilities. The agenda included training presentations, live demonstrations and interactive discussions
with technical experts. The events offered a unique
opportunity for attendees to gain valuable insights into ABG’s product portfolio and see the company’s cutting- edge machines in action. The intensive training covered a wide range of topics, including ABG’s pioneering
solutions such as ABG Connect and the company’s automation capabilities, plus upgrades to its SRI, fleyeVision, ABG Digital (DigiJet, DigiLaset) and inkjet systems.
Mark Hyde, ABG’s sales manager, said: “It
