4 ACES ACES

4 Aces’ 9oz PLA cup represents a first for vending

Following the huge amount of interest surrounding the launch of its environmentally-friendly PLANET range, it was only amatter of time before industry favourite, 4 Aces added a 9oz vendin g version to its collection of 7oz, 8oz, 12oz and 16oz, compostable, PLA hot cups.

Created specifically for the vending market, the popular packaging manufacturer’s 9 oz cup carries the internationally recognised seedling logo and complies to EU certification for compostable packaging, which means that it will disintegrate in the correct industrial facilities for disposal within 12 weeks – just like the other cups in the PLANET range.

Sales director of 4 Aces, David Blake explains why now is the right time to introduce this specific cup to the vending market: “Producing a 9oz version of this cup means that we are providing our loyal customers with a degree of flexibility when it comes to choice and ttracting new business from those who will struggle to

hopefully att

find a supplier who can provide any type of similar quality, eco- friendly cup at this size.

“There’s no arguing with the over-whelming public interest in green disposable products at the moment and all of our customers are keen to be led by the consumer, to deliver the most ethical option.”

The demand for a greater selection of eco-frien dly products is not just a vending issue. Sales of 4 Aces’ selection of biodegradable, paper water cones and its PLA cold cup range are on the rise and the company is also finding that demand for its environmental products is regardless of sector and location.

David says: “It doesn’t matter whether our cups are being used in places like college s and further education, workpla ce or hospitality

PLA is made from plant-based materials; PLA cups therefore contain natural resources that can constantly be renewed, which means that it’s likely that cups made from this substance are a most viable alternative going forward and will continue to grow as a popular choice.

establishments. Most businesses have some sort of sustainable agenda they have to meet and what disposable products they use will always be a key consideration.” LA

4 Aces is continually developing products to address its customers’ concerns and the changing demands that are being driven by their customers. David confirms that there is likely to be further environmentally-friendly products in development going forward: “We are renowned for being receptive to what the customer wants and we pride ourselves on constantly reviewing and monitoring our products to ensure that they are the most relevant. Given that, it’s most probable that we will continue to expand the PLANET range.” Since its launch in 2001, 4 Aces has ensured that its product offffering i s amongst the widest and most creative, and that it s customer service ranks at the highest level, thus guaranteeing the company its status as the UK’s fastest growing provider of packaging products to the beverage and foodservice sectors.
