euvend & coffeena suspends 2020 - new date 27-29 October 2022

Plans to go ahead with Vendex shows

Euvend & Coffeena has been suspended for 2020 and rescheduled for 27-29 October 2022. Organisers had high hopes for the event this year, which was to

have been held in conjunction with ORGATEC, the trade fair for modern workspaces. However, the worldwide coronavirus pandemic caused widespread hesitation among potential visitors and exhibitors, which prompted the postponement. A statement from Koelnmesse said: “In spite of extensive

preparations by euvend & coffeena and the #B-SAFE4business package of measures for coronavirus-compliant implementation of our trade fairs, these developments increasingly began to have an impact on the booking situation for the trade fair.” In light of this, Koelnmesse reassessed the situation and concluded that it was best not to hold euvend & coffeena 2020 which was to have been held from 29-31 October 2020.” Oliver Frese, chief operating officer and in charge of trade fair management at Koelnmesse said: “Intensive conversations with our customers have shown how profound the impact of the coronavirus pandemic has been on the economic situation of many companies. “A trade fair such as euvend & coffeena is built around the large number of national and international industry experts who account for the quality of this event. In future, we intend not just to maintain this high standard but to improve upon it. In the months ahead we will do our level best to organise a great euvend & coffeena 2022, and this includes the new approach of connections with ORGATEC.”

All three Vendex shows are scheduled to take place next year subject to government guidance. Vendex director Phil Reynolds said: “Dates are fixed for the

three shows next year if the government allows, and we will be adhering to all safety measures to ensure all guidelines are followed. We are so looking forward to seeing our exhibitors, visitors and friends in the industry face to face again.” The dates, which are subject to guidelines, are: • Vendex Scotland, Glasgow, February 10, DoubleTree by Hilton, Glasgow

• Vendex Midlands, April 13, MK Dons Stadium, Milton Keynes • Vendex North, November 10, Centenary Pavilion, Leeds The events had been cancelled this year as a result of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Vendex Turkey planned for February

Vendex Turkey, the vending technologies and self-service systems exhibition, will be held from 4-6 February 2021 in Istanbul. Organisers say that while 2020 was a difficult year for everyone, manufacturing companies took the opportunity to focus on research and development activities. The trade show will shine a spotlight on new products and new exhibitors will be joining for the first time. Vendex Turkey will be “more colorful and more powerful this

year”, a statement said. Vendex Turkey is described as an event that represents the sector

as a whole, bringing together inter-related areas and offering a business network to vending machine industry stakeholders. The show will host all major players in the sector including manufacturers, importers, exporters and distributors. Visitors can expect to see new trends, practices and products,

while exhibitors can take the opportunity to promote products and services to the relevant professional target audience with the opportunity to make commercial deals at an international level.
