HOT FOOD VENDING
Demand for on-the-go hot and healthy options
The vending industry saw huge changes during the pandemic but now, with many workers heading back to offices, the need for on-the-go food has returned, and so too has demand for hot and healthy alternatives according to Martin Verspeak, COO at Mr Lee’s Pure Foods. Mr Verspeak says: “During the COVID-19 lockdowns, people’s
habits changed and there is now a higher demand for healthier options and safe access to food within the workplace.” He continues: “We’ve worked hard to create a solution that satisfies these new needs. We offer a range of hot instant
foods made with the finest ingredients and absolutely no artificial additives which can be purchased on our innovative machine by using cashless payments. Customers also have the ability to personalise their choice with some extra soy sauce or chilli oil. “Mr Lee’s Kiosk includes six instant rice noodles, three breakfast
porridges and two varieties of congees, a traditional Asian savoury rice porridge and they are also now stocking three new Ramen flavours: Krazy About Katsu, Kicking Korean Beef and Golden Veggie Curry.”
Vending evolves with Refreshment Destinations
Faced with the growing prevalence of hybrid workplaces, businesses and operators are increasingly turning to ‘Refreshment Destinations’, according to Nebrak marketing manager Kerry Bullivant.s. Kerry said: “A stand-alone offer doesn’t meet
the needs of the hybrid workplace. Nebrak has been designing, manufacturing and installing vending furniture for the workplace that houses a combination of equipment for quite a few years. Recently we have designed smart fridge and heating station combinations, ideal for sites with limited space. “What we are finding increasingly now, is
that operators and businesses alike are seeking a premium more aesthetic finish, one that creates what we are referring to as a ‘Refreshment Destination’. “In many circumstances where the
demand doesn’t justify a micro market solution, provision for a kitchen is not possible, working hours are non-standard, or the client wants to offer both employees and guests hot food and drink, our Refreshment Destination solution fills the gap. Vendex Midlands 2022 will see us launch
a new range of Refreshment Destinations all with heating stations to meet the growing demands of consumers and the hybrid working model.
Our aim is to facilitate and leverage the
vending operators’ offer via a turnkey solution. The concept opens up a new route to market for out of home and food to go brands whilst also offering the flexibility of
fully managed or self-fill machines. Operators can tailor their offer to suit the environment whilst staying on-brand with the use of our graphics service. Vending has evolved – we truly believe it.
