understand what the other areas of business are doing, or what the mix of business is,” she said. Looking at the various sector the TVD Group

operates in and Ms Maguire said the pub installa- tion side of the business isn’t quite back up to pre-pandemic levels. “There’s quite a bit of growth to come back

there,” she said. “Leisure facilities, like indoor enter- tainment venues, are really taking off and we’re doing quite a lot in the betting industry. “We’ve seen really great growth on the retail side of things during the pandemic, which was fan-tastic and really kept the business going. At the minute, it’s tricky out there, because of the cost-of-living crisis. “On the B2C side, digital signage is going to be huge – people want these LED screens; people want to engage with their clients better and they’re seeing this is a way of doing that.” With the supply chain challenges in the sector,

Ms Maguire said that the business has been really lucky with the availability. That said, she said the Mitchell and Brown brand is the rising star of the business. “We are six years into it now and it’s grown

every year and we’re predicting that will carry on,” Ms Maguire said. “Some brands are experiencing supply issues,

we are experiencing some, but not to the extent that others are, and it is helped by the fact that we manufacture our own TV. The after sales care that we can provide, with the seven-year warranty, gives people that extra confidence.” Ms Maguire reports that Mitchell & Brown is

available in more than 200 stores across the UK. “We’ve just launched our new Mitchell &

Brown website that has a retailer login section, so re-tailers can go in and download marketing assets,” she said. “We’re always on hand – the founder of the business is literally a phone call away for people – there’s not many businesses that give everybody that kind of access.” Within TVD B2B, the division supplies a number of TV brands including LG, Samsung and Philips and a wide range of white goods too. “Through TVD B2B, we sell to wholesalers and

retailers up and down the country,” she said. On the TVC side of the business, it offers a full

turnkey solution for its clients. “We manage all of that for them,” she said.

“Currently, we’re doing a fit out at Everton 2, but we can be working with Heineken pubs or with an estate agent up the road, it doesn’t matter to us who it is, we provide them with the same level of service.

“We don’t do massive advertising on that side of the business – it’s very much developed through word of mouth – we don’t have an issue of getting business there; we’re really in demand in the industry. “We’ll work with clients and create bespoke solutions for them that we will design ourselves.” Ms Maguire said that the best part of her job is seeing the teams come together, working really hard, and achieving success. Looking ahead, she said: “We want bigger

market share in all the market we’re operating in. We’re focusing on what we do really well and we don’t want to get distracted. “We’re not looking at any acquisitions, we’re

looking at organic sustainable growth, because there’s enough out there for us to get.” Mitchell & Brown is another area of focus for the business. “We’ve just brought out the Android TV range

and TV brackets,” she said. “We are really fo-cused on trying to make Mitchell & Brown more of a household name. “At the moment we sell through retailers, we do a bit through wholesalers, and we are much com-fortable and happy with that We need to focus on our end consumer brand awareness with Mitch-ell & Brown and the fact it’s a British brand, with a seven-year warranty and UK customer service – I think that will be quite a strong selling point for the brand.” As well as the internal restructure, TVD Goup

is investing significantly in the business, with an expansion to its Bolton HQ set to include a new state-of-the-art showroom showcasing the latest technology available to the industry. Ms Maguire said: “It will be a fantastic

showroom – the only technology showroom outside of London and we’ve had fantastic support from our industry partners, who will be displaying their products, and people are queuing up to really give us products that they can put into it.”
