Contents The votes are in!
The last few weeks have been pretty hectic in the GCU and DIY Week offices as we’ve been busy organising this year’s DIY Week Awards. I’m pleased to say that despite the challenges posed by Covid for the last couple of years, the Awards have been very well supported and we have received plenty of high quality entries in all the categories. This makes it very hard to narrow them down to a manageable shortlist, let alone choose the overall winners. Luckily we have a panel of independent expert judges who have spent a long time examining the entries and deliberating which deserve to receive the DIY Week Award accolades. We held two intense, but enjoyable judging sessions for the supplier and retailer categories
earlier this month and after much discussion, the shortlists have been chosen. The judges all remarked on the high quality and wide variety of the entries we received, which really goes to show how healthy and innovative the DIY and garden industry sector is. I’m grateful to all the companies who have taken the time to enter this year’s awards and wish them all the best of luck. I’d also like to thank our judges who have invested so much of their valuable time in helping to determine the shortlisted entries and decide the overall winners.
