Contents Live events are back on the agenda


With the lifting of the last few Covid restrictions this month, it means live events are back on and we can finally start going out and meeting face-to-face once more. Although we’ve all learned to live with video conference calls and social distancing, you really can’t beat meeting people in real life and enjoying some social interaction. Trade shows are one of those places where you not only get the chance to see and learn about the latest new products, but also meet up with old friends and colleagues and network with industry peers. I’ve certainly missed trade events over the last 18 months, so it’s very


exciting to be able to publish a preview of one of the largest and most influential events for our industry, Glee, which returns for a live event at the NEC in Birmingham from 14 to 16 September. You’ll notice much of this issue is dedicated to the show and supported by many of the exhibitors who are also excited to be taking part and exhibiting for the first time in a while. The organisers will of course be taking all the advised and necessary steps to keep visitors safe and secure while at the show and it’s certainly shaping up to a triumphant return to ‘business as usual’ wherever possible. The organisers and exhibitors have had plenty of time to prepare for the show, so I’m

expecting it to be one of the best, with plenty of innovative new product releases to enjoy and learn about. I’m sure those involved will be pulling out all the stops to make this an unmissable event and you can get a flavour of what’s in store from our Glee preview which starts on page 13 of this issue.
