Knightsbridge, leading UK manufacturer of wiring devices, accessories and lighting, has added two ranges of gypsum plaster wall lights to its extensive decorative lighting collection. Available as up/down surface-mounted wall lights for living spaces, or recessed fixtures that are ideal for use in areas like hallways and stairs, they are all supplied in a stylish, timeless white that can also be painted to match any interior scheme. They work well when installed as standalone items, but also create a striking feature when mounted in series.
The surface-mounted wall lights come in four curved or cuboid design options, with widths
varying from 110mm to 200mm, heights from 90mm to 180mm and projections from 70mm to 150mm. The lamp fitting is designed for G9 LEDs. Offering discreet style, the recessed lights have a defined edge with a narrow opening, allowing for a subtle light output. They come in two shapes and sizes: rectangular, which is 350mm high, 100mm wide and 73mm deep; and a 78mm deep circular unit, the cut out for which is 250mm x 210mm. The lamp fitting for both items takes GU10 LEDs.

Scolmore adds new RCD sockets to its wiring accessories range

An RCD is a sensitive safety device that switches off electricity automatically if there is a fault. It is designed to protect against the risks of electrocution and fire caused by earth faults.
Scolmore’s new RCD sockets are socket-outlets with an RCD built into them which can be used in place of a standard socket-outlet. These are known as passive RCDs which means that when power is lost due to a fault the RCD disconnects and isolates the piece of equipment it is protecting. Passive RCDs do not trip during power cuts. They are also known as Latching RCDs.
