ational Apprentice Week fell within February, and many companies marked it with events, competitions and outreach programs into schools. The Government launched a campaign to highlight apprenticeships to young people.
A recent guide published by the Department for Education and the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education (IfATE) has highlighted the fact that electrical apprenticeships can off er some of the best career prospects for young people. And the benefi ts go both ways - apprenticeships are essential to the future prospects of the industry, not to mention the Net Zero transition.
On that note, we have shared a discussion between leading apprenticeship provider JTL and National Apprentice of the Year 2022 Michelle Robinson on the importance of female role models in the trade industry - you can read more on page 24. Elsewhere in the issue, intelligent lighting controls
