TL has announced the winners of the regional stage of its Regional and National Awards programme. The Regional and National Awards are run on an annual basis, recognising those who have demonstrated high levels of achievement and commitment to learning throughout their apprenticeships. Each Regional winner will now go ‘head-to-head’ in the hope of being named JTL National

Coventry University to develop national electric skills hub

oventry University aims to play a
pivotal role in driving UK electrifi cation by developing a national
skills hub aimed at supporting specialist training, aſt er winning £1million in funding from the ‘Driving the Electric Revolution’ challenge at UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), The national skills hub, aimed at supporting the Power Electronics, Machines and Drives (PEMD) community, will be a digital platform bringing together providers of an extensive range of training and development opportunities to upskill the UK’s workforce and deliver clean solutions such as the next generation of electric transport and energy delivery innovation, and could provide a signifi cant boost to goals for a net-zero carbon economy by 2050.
The project got underway in April 2022 and is seeking collaboration and input from across the country in order to build the right skills hub for the community.
