New Micro Series waterproof connectors
Selwyn Electronics, the interconnection specialists, have added another series to their extensive range of Waterproof Connectors. These connectors offer an easy push together mate and un-mate friction lock, with up to 6 contacts. With body diameters of less than 10mm, they offer a low cost, robust and reliable connection for a wide variety of applications where small size and water sealing (IP66) is required.
The Micro A series is a 2 way panel mount male with a moulded female plug and is rated at 2A.
The Micro B series is available with a panel mount receptacle, cable mount plug, and cable mount in-line receptacle for cable to cable connection. The mixed 2+2 arrangement has 2 contacts rated at 10A and 2 at 2A. The B series also has 2 through to 6 way versions all with 2A contacts.

Aluminum decorative cases ADG The new aluminum decorative cases ADG… made
by Fischer Elektronik has got a discreet and modern design. In the development of the ADG special focus was given to the visual requirements of the user. One of many possible application field of this high-quality case is in the audio field so that an application as an amplifier case is conceivable.
The individually milled front plate meets highest decorative demands by having a grounded surface. Both robust, plugged into one another case profiles allow a simple mounting of the electronics by its design. The inset guide grooves are used for the insertion of PCBs. By glass bead blasting they additionally have a fine matt surface. The available standard seizes of the ADG case are suitable for
inserting standard Eurocards in a width of 100 mm, respectively 160 mm.
Both size versions of the aluminium decorative case ADG are available in three different surfaces (natural colour anodized, black anodized and their combination) as well as in six different lengths (100, 120, 160, 200, 220, 234 mm). The front panel is available in three different material thicknesses (6, 8, 10 mm) depending on the application and optics. More case seizes, surface treatments, printings or additional mechanical treatments are realised according to the customer’s demand. The case ADG is supplied as an unassembled kit including mounting material and case feet.

IQD’s new reduced size Disciplined OCXO
IQD’s new IQCM-160 disciplined OCXO module is housed in a 30 x 25 x 14.6mm hermetically sealed through-hole metal package which covers approx. half the area of the current models. The IQCM-160 can achieve a holdover specification of 1.5 microseconds over a period of 8 hours when locked to a 1PPS (Pulse Per Second) input from an external GPS, GLONASS, BEIDOU, GALILEO or alternative 1PPS source.
The design incorporates an internal adaptive algorithm which enables the module to ‘learn’ the parameters of the GPS signal after a period of 2 days of lock so that the holdover function can start in the event of signal failure. An internal alarm is built-in to indicate lock failure and subsequent restoration of signal. In addition, the unit incorporates a serial connection for more detailed interrogation of the device’s performance. Frequency is accurate to within ±0.005ppb when locked to a 1PPS external signal and can compete with the performance of many atomic clock references.
The standard operating temperature range of the module is -40 to 85 degrees C. The required power supply is 3.3V with the output being standard HCMOS. Current consumption is only 750mA maximum during warm-up with this reducing to 350mA once the steady-state condition is reached.
The IQCM-160 has 1PPS and 10MHz output and also UART interfaces for software management, this has a fixed baud rate of 115200 using 1 stop bit and no parity.
Intended for a range of applications including land based telecommunications systems as well as marine based navigation systems the IQCM-160 forms part of a range of highly specified modules and Oven Controlled Crystal Oscillators (OCXOs) available from IQD.
