Electronics Industry Awards 2021

Zytronic shortlisted for two Electronics Industry 2021 Awards

Z

ytronic is delighted to announce that two of its latest innovations have been nominated for prestigious Electronics Industry Awards to be announced on 21st

October 2021.

The Newcastle based manufacturer is best known for its development of award winning and patented projected capacitive touch technologies used in various self-service and industrial touchscreens in application ranging from slot machines to ATM’s - all designed for use in the most extreme environments, vandal resistant and readily customisable in practically and shape or size up 90”. In its latest interactive innovation, the company has responded to concerns regarding touching publicly used screens by developing it ZyBrid®hover technology. Here, the touch sensor can detect multiple touches 50mm or more above the surface of the touchscreen, even from gloved hands making it ideal for high use systems such as elevator controls and ticket vending machines. Meanwhile, the novel

technology ignores accidental touches from sleeves, leaves and rainwater. ZyBrid®hover has been shortlisted for Display Product of the Year. The other new product nominated, this time for Power Delivery Product of the Year, is ElectroglaZ™. This patent pending technology, draws on Zytronic’s half-century of optical grade glass lamination knowhow, with two or more layers of non-conductive and conductive transparent glass. The arrangement allows power to be transferred safely within the laminate and tapped/extracted at the required locations to power multiple low power (<50V, 4A) devices. The delivery of this energy is wire and cable free and invisible to the user. Applications for
