TRENDS GENERAL TREND

The strong influence of western aesthetics is increasingly noticeable in the autumn/winter 2019/2020 collections presented at Expo Riva Schuh: the trend is represented by ankle boots, shoes and laces with elongated shapes and elaborate leathers. Some models recall the trend in a subtle way, others in a more accentuated way: however, all add fashionable elements, both in the type of materials and in the choice of colours and accessories. In the women's collections, the boots feature lacquered materials, textured or processed with different techniques. The metallic elements that decorate the models are gilded or nickel-plated, while the equivalent of the western trend for men is the worn-out effect shoes, which recall a rural world that is strongly linked to the concepts of freedom and well-being.

WOMAN TREND

A renewed vintage trend characterizes the collections of women's shoes for winter 2019/2020, through the return of some elements that recall the style of the past decades: the heels, of different shapes and heights, have angles with strong lines and more powerful shapes, and feature resin or nickel details. Furthermore, the design of the necklines has changed, as they are more closed and with higher sides, usually paired with by smooth surfaces that enhance the style of the model. The shapes of the heels and the lines of the footwear of some of the new models also recall the fashion of the 80s and 90s.

MAN TREND

A bolder man emerges from the men's shoe collections for winter 2019/2020. The classic models are updated through the differentiation of details. The soles become protagonists, with unusual shapes, colorful details, or bright tones throughout the bottom. In leather footwear, one can perceive a more sober aesthetic, with rustic finishes or a worn-out effect. The shoe upper can be 100% leather, or made with mixed fabrics, such as canvas. There is an emphasis on white rubber soles, that make the models more casual, and add a slight sporty touch.

CHILD TREND

The 2019/2020 winter collections of children footwear presented at Expo Riva Schuh emphasize a playful mood through drawings and patterns inspired by the world of animals for little boys and with a burst of colors for girls, from pastel colors to rainbow ones while the sporty trend displays a modern reinterpretation. The chunky sneaker is the brand new item for girls: already established in the market for men and women, now also appears in the collections for children and young people. The traditional robust soles are coupled with printed and colored leather. As for boys, lug soles combined with different patterns is the main option. Finally, girls' collections show a glitter finish, sometimes mixed with different textures.
