EPLAN Data Portal drives sales for Panasonic The EPLAN Data Portal is a free-to-access
web-based platform that provides information from major suppliers of electrical, mechanical, fluidic and pneumatic products. This gives engineers a convenient and reliable way of assessing design data and technical drawings for the components they use in their systems, in a format that is compatible not only with EPLAN’s own CAE software, but also with most other engineering design packages. The EPLAN Data Portal is expanding
constantly, but at the time of writing it contains data for more than 840,000 components from over 230 manufacturers. Panasonic initially put details of 46 products

EPLAN Data Portal since April 2015. The company is finding this to be an important driver for sales growth, not least because its presence on the EPLAN Data Portal means that Panasonic customers benefit from instant and convenient access to comprehensive, up-to- the-minute product data.

excellent global coverage provided by the system. Another big benefit is that it’s so easy for us to upload and update products specifications on the portal whenever we need to do so. Overall, the EPLAN Data Portal has provided us with greater market visibility and, above all, it has helped us to provide an even better service for our customers. “Our presence on the EPLAN Data Portal has yielded tremendous benefits for us as a manufacturer and we would certainly encourage other companies to participate,” says Norfield. “Not only has it helped us to increase our sales and our share of the market, but it has also given us a stronger voice in industry.
