AAEON de next-TGU8 introduces next generation of single board computing

mbedded systems and display solutions provider Review Display Systems (RDS) has introduced a new single board
computer (SCB) from leading embedded computing platforms manufacturer AAEON. The de next-TGU8 is a new compact, high-performance computing system with processing supported by four cores with eight threads, powered by 11th Generation Intel Core i7, i5, and i3 processors. The introduction of the innovative AAEON de next-TGU8 marks a new generation of single board computers, by creating a highly compact board featuring an on-board Intel Core i-level processor. The de next-TGU8 board’s dimensions are 84mm (l) x 55mm (w).
AAEON de next-TGU8
Despite its compact size, the de next- TGU8 offers a high level of integration and performance, supporting 16GB onboard LPDDR4x memory, an extensive I/O and multiple expansion options. The de next-TGU8 is designed to facilitate a high-speed interface with dual RJ45 ethernet ports, two USB 3.2 Gen2, and four USB 2.0 slots, and a dual display interface supported with HDMI and eDP ports. Peter Marchant, embedded business manager at RDS said: “The data processing ability of the new AAEON de next-TGU8 ensures it can power the next generation of AI-based applications, including smart systems, factory automation and robotics. TGU8 also provides many expansion options for a variety of add-on modules. Expansion accessories include an FPC slot for PCIe x4 Gen 3 with riser kit, for additional storage or more advanced graphics options.
The de next-TGU8 also contains an M.2 2280 key slot (PCIe x 2), enabling users to combine different expansion modules to suit different application needs, such as AI acceleration, Wi-Fi and 4G network modules. The new AAEON de next-TGU8 single
board computer is now available from RDS.
