Process & Control turns 40


Welcome to this rather special 40th Anniversary edition of Process & Control. To celebrate this milestone, we have redesigned the magazine to give it a much more modern and fresh feel. Along with its completely new look, the magazine's website has benefited from similar treatment, and now stands separate to the connectingindustry.com portfolio as a website and digital offering in its own right.


For the last 40 years, the printed magazine, and more recently the digital version, the website, e-newsletters and our social media platforms, have been a reliable source of information for process engineers looking to improve the efficiency, accuracy and profitability of their operations.


The processing industry has changed considerably in those 40 years. It's clear that developments in processing have mirrored what’s been going on in the world at large, namely the way we have embraced digital technology on every level. This bumper issue takes a look at some of these technologies, from all aspects of process automation, to Industry 4.0 and Quality 4.0 concepts. We haven't forgotten the more traditional equipment that every good process line is built on, and also look at the latest offerings in heat transfer, flow and level control, and pumps and valves.


We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our advertisers for their support over the years, and also our readers, for their engagement. We are grateful to both groups for helping ensure the longevity and ongoing success of the magazine. We hope to go on serving the processing industry for many more years to come.
