n recognition of their long-time association with the plastics sector, the European division of the global Bunting Group has joined the Polymer Machinery Manufacturers and Distributors Association (PMMDA). Bunting is one of the world’s leading designers and manufacturers of magnetic separators and metal detectors for the recycling and plastics industries. The Bunting European manufacturing facilities for their wide range of metal separation and detection equipment are in Redditch, just outside Birmingham, and Berkhamsted, both in the United Kingdom.


The PMMDA provides important information,


representation and a mutual support for companies in the plastics industry. Established in 1966, the association’s activities include exchanging information through networking and social events; provision of market statistics and industry data; communication of regular business and industry updates; representation and feedback on the development of EU and ISO Standards.

ne of the main benefits of Kobold’s REG flow restrictors is that they provide precise mechanical flow control and conditioning, so operate without any electrical power supply. They also maintain the constant flow rate of fluids with great accuracy (±0.2 L/min) regardless of fluctuating inlet pressure. By using an impressively simple but unique principle, combined with precision engineered components the REG delivers quality and reliability ensuring lifelong and maintenance-free use.

With the REG the constant flow is realized by means of stainless steel spring plates (the so-called control orifice) and a ring or control funnel arranged thereafter. Depending on the differential pressure, the gap between control panel and ring varies. This keeps the flow rate constant. Depending on the flow rate, one to four control panels are used in different arrangements.

By clamping onto the outside of pipes, ultrasonic devices like the TFX-5000 meter do not contact the internal liquid and have inherent advantages, such as reduced installation time and cost, no limits on pressure or fluid compatibility. The meter is available in two versions:


The TFX-5000 meter is specifically developed for fluid flow metering and heating/cooling energy measurement and can be employed for a host of data logging tasks. Users can select up to eight parameters to log, including flo w rate and total, signal strength, and alarms with a time/date stamp to an 8 GB microSD™ (Secure Digital) card. It also features helpful diagnostics that take the guesswork out of isolating process or application problems. Users are alerted to out-of-specification flow conditions and can access a history with the most recent alarm, error and event codes.
