he new sensor PRO safety limit


switches (series SLS) from Wieland provide safe position monitor- ing in virtually any industrial application. With a metal actuator that can be turned and swapped without tools, sensor PRO SLS switches are a highly reliable position mon- itoring solution rated to IP66/ 67. Series SLS switches are suitable for use in conveyor


object detection, end-position control, door position detec- tion, and many other safety applications. Actuation of the switch contacts is monitored by Wieland’s safety relays, samos®PRO COMPACT safety controller, or similar devices and will shut down the machine immediately, addressing any safety hazard. The new switches have self-cleaning contacts that pro-


vide a maximum reliability of 1mA at 24VDC and a life of up to 30 million operations. They offer the highest of switch- ing even at very low currents and are extremely robust due to the metallic actuator and mounting bracket. Series SLS switches provide tool-free turning of the actuator and tool-free replacement of the actuator and actuators can be rotated or swapped in 45 ° increments by pulling the fas- tening clip.

Using the capacitive measurement principle, it accurately detects water-based media regardless of foam, moisture or deposit build-up on the inside of the vessel. The SICK CQF16 is a cost-effective alternative to continuous analogue measurement with a diverse range of fill-


level detection uses. For example, it is ideal for detecting levels of oils, milk or honey in food processing machinery, or for checking condensate water in freezers. It will prove useful for detection of ink-cartridge levels in printing and packaging machinery. In medical and pharmaceutical machinery, it could be used to monitor levels in the storage vessels for filling vials or processing blood products. product make-up or for related activities such as wash- down equipment. Despite increasingly efficient cleaning-in- place (CIP) and sterilisation-in-place (SIP) systems, water consumption remains high and much of it drains wastefully away. That wasted water could instead be collected and recycled, with appropriate purification, for reuse in the same industrial processes or for a variety of alternative purposes.
