Laird BL654PA Modules for Bluetooth 5 and Thread Implementation Now at Mouser Electronics

ouser Electronics is now stocking the BL654PA (Power Amplified) module from Laird Connectivity. The FCC, IC,
RCM, KC, and Bluetooth® SIG-certified module allows engineers to implement single-mode Bluetooth 5 and Thread (802.15.4) technology into simple Bluetooth Low Energy designs. The Laird BL654PA module, available from Mouser
Electronics, is based on the highly flexible multi-protocol Nordic nRF52840 system-on-chip (SoC), which features a powerful Arm® Cortex®-M4F core and a multiprotocol radio that supports Bluetooth 5, ANT/ANT+, and proprietary 2.4 GHz networking. The BL654PA module offers extended wireless range with transmit power +18 dBm, configurable down to -26 dBm. The BL654PA module provides design flexibility with
several programming options, including Laird’s smartBASIC language. The smartBASIC language, ideal for memory- constrained applications, cuts time to market by enabling fast and efficient Bluetooth Low Energy development.

ZF Energy Harvesting Bluetooth Low Energy Switch at Internet of Things Seminars

rom medical to industrial, every market is being disrupted by the Internet of Things (IoT). Along with their partners and distributors, ON Semiconductor will host a series of technical seminars in several key locations

New, high contrast OLED displays with SPI and I²C

MS Electronics Ltd now offers four models of the EA OLED displays. The EA OLEDM204 is an alphanumeric
display that functions as a 4x20, 3x20 or 2x20 display. Three graphic displays: The small EA OLEDS102-6 (102x64 pixel / 36x25 VA), EA OLEDM128-6 (128x64 / 51x31 VA) and larger EA OLEDL128-6 (128x64 / 64x37 VA). The displays are a slim design and plug into a 0.1” pitch socket or solder directly into the PCB. No ZIF sockets, fasteners or glue is required hence saving assembly cost. The displays offer excellent readability, high contrast, wide viewing angle and fast response time over the whole temperature range of - 40°C to +80°C. SPI and I²C Interface. The displays have a scratch and UV protective glass with a polarizer for a deep black background.
