system for its wide range of fibre optic transmitters and receivers which offers the rotational consistency of a keyed connector alongside the security and reliability for which the SMA connector is renowned. The KSMA fibre optic connector system combines a new connector and diode housing design, which OMC describe as delivering the best of all worlds. Unlike the standard SMA connector, which can be inserted at any rotation about the ferrule axis, OMC’s KSMA system incorporates a mechanical keyway mechanism, thus eliminating rotational variation when a cable is mated to the transmitter or receiver. The connector continues to feature the secure hexagonal lock-nut fixing of OMC’s standard SMA connector, ensuring maximum long-term integrity of the connection.

show in Frankfurt, Germany. Intrinsically safe temperature sensors are available for use in hazardous environments (gas zones 1, 2, dust zones 21, 22). These support both fully automatic monitoring of measurement points with standalone devices and networked installations for IoT-enabled factory automation. Industrial-grade Raytek Thermalert TX pyrometers measure temperatures up to 2,000 °C. With cooling, they tolerate ambient


temperatures up to 315 °C. Raytek Compact MI3 sensors have been designed for easy machine and plant integration. Two rugged, digital sensor heads can be used with one power supply and communication box at minimal costs per measuring point. Various fieldbus and Industrial Ethernet interface options are available. Both series comprise Ex i pyrometers for various spectral ranges and optics for different measurement distances.

systems for quality control and optimization of soldering processes. The all-new family of DATAPAQ DP5 data loggers is augmented by the Insight Reflow Tracker professional software which quickly transforms the raw data into actionable information. Reflow soldering process optimization using the Easy Oven Setup recipe calculator is included as standard, as are SPC and trending analysis. These functions enable the operator to get the best out of every SMT production line. The launch furthermore includes two sensor holding frames that save setup time and ensure


repeatability: an improved 12-thermocouple pallet for monitoring wave soldering process stability and a new, easy- to-use DATAPAQ Surveyor for reflow processes. The manufacturer will also showcase the world's smallest temperature profiler for selective mini-wave soldering: no more than 20 mm high and 40 mm wide including the thermal shield, DATAPAQ SelectivePaq enables reliable measurements even in very tight spaces.

Kemtron Introduce a new soft silicone flat EMI gasket material

flat, sheet material, comprising a solid silicone rubber, embedded with Monel or Aluminium metal

Excellent RFI/EMI/EMP shielding performance is achieved as the material has a wire density of up to 140 wires/ CM2 in solid silicone providing an environmental and RFI/ EMI seal when clamped between two metallic surfaces. These wires are crimped to aid compression and are chemically bonded to ensure their retention. They will also penetrate most light oxide layers, ensuring a low contact resistance path when suitably compressed.
