OKW’s HAND-TERMINAL Plastic Enclosures Now In Two Versions

O

KW’s HAND-TERMINAL industrial electronic

enclosures are now available in two versions, offering the choice of a closed or open top. These sealed plastic enclosures (IP 65 optional) are designed specifi cally for heavy-duty handheld devices. Applications include machine control, mobile terminals, measurement, programmers and data collection.

Ergonomic HAND-TERMINAL offers plenty of space for operating elements, displays, pushbuttons and large switches. Optimum weight distribution and a contoured hand grip on the underside make the enclosures comfortable to hold. They feature a large recessed area for controls and displays. Version I has a solid plastic top; Version II has an open top for a front panel. Both versions can

be specifi ed for either cable- connected or battery-powered (4 x AA, 1 or 2 x 9 V) electronics. The front has a large recessed area for mounting connectors. Inside there are PCB fastening pillars.

HAND-TERMINAL (220 x 120 x 65 mm) is moulded from tough PC+ABS (UL 94 V-0) in off-white (RAL 9002) and black (RAL 9005) as standard.

Welcome to the March issue of Electronics for Engineers , I attended the

n February 7th

Southern Manufacturing exhibition at Farnborough International Airshow and it was a fantastic day. As someone who is still relatively new to the electronics industry, this exhibition was eye-opening, both in terms of the exciting products and demonstrations that I encountered, and also all of the people I met who were so passionate about said products. It was wonderful to see the work that had gone into everything being debuted, as well as the vast knowledge that the company had to back them up. I look forward to attending this event again next year!

embedded systems provider, Review Display Systems (RDS) has announced the introduction of a new ultra-high defi nition (UHD) 15.6-inch active-matrix OLED display. The CH156ZLXEWN-001 features 4K (3840 x 2160 pixels) resolution, a 16:9 wide aspect ratio, and an impressive optical performance specifi cation. The 15.6-inch display features exceptional optical performance with a white colour temperature of 6500K that enables the OLED display to deliver a specifi ed contrast ratio of up to 100,000:1. Colour performance is equally impressive with a wide colour gamut of 98% of Adobe RGB DCI-P3 which enables vibrant and saturated colours. A brightness specifi cation of 400cd/m² ensures that display images are bright, concise, with high levels of colour saturation. Wide viewing angles of 85-degrees in all directions (up, down, left, right) ensure that display images can be easily and accurately viewed. The 15.6-inch display features a 40-pin embedded DisplayPort (eDP) interface which supports 8-bit RGB colour data and enables a colour palette of up to 16.7 million colours. The display features a pixel response time of 1mS.

Typical applications include professional broadcast and media equipment, diagnostic medical systems, and instrumentation and monitoring equipment. The 4K UHD 15.6-inch CH156ZLXEWN-001 OLED display is now available immediately from Review Display Systems.
