LEMO EXHIBITED ITS NEW INNOVATIVE BROADCAST PRODUCTS AT BVE 2018
products being launched by LEMO at the show was a new range of 3K.93C SMPTE 304M connectors. This product is the next generation version of LEMO’s industry-standard HD camera connectors which offers users the additional benefits of a lower total cost of ownership. With its reduced weight and improved internal design, it greatly lowers both transport and cable termination costs. The second new product launched by LEMO at the show
L
was its Compact Splice Tray (CST). With each system accommodating up to eight SMPTE 311M hybrid fibre (HD) camera cables / LEMO 3K.93C SMPTE 304M bulkhead connectors, it is ideal for mobile production and studio applications.

EMO exhibited two new innovative products at the Broadcast Video Expo 2018. The first of these new
ow available in Europe through TTI, Inc., a world leading specialist distributor of electronic components, is Vishay’s new best in class 60V
MOSFET SiR626DP. The product elevates DC/DC efficiency and performance across the load with minimum circuit rework. Peak efficiency is up to 15% higher than competition. Power loss and power savings are more than 12% higher. The SiR626DP device reduces I²R conduction loss and features a 40%
lower RDS(ON) than the prior generation. This low RDS(ON) is even achieved in an 80% smaller package footprint comparing to the last generation. The component increases both power density and output current per device. Main target applications for the 60V SiR626DP MOSFET are synchronous rectification, 24V systems, motor drive
control, DC/DC topologies, solar micro inverters, as well as power tools and industrial applications. TTI, Inc

Amphenol’s New Rugged Connector Series is ideal Use in Harsh Environments A
mphenol Industrial Operations, a global leader in interconnect systems, has expanded its product range to include a new series of rugged connectors
for use in harsh environments. The LPT (Lean PT) series is ideal for use in factory automation, automotive, hybrid electric vehicles/electric vehicles, energy storage, power distribution, industrial instrumentation and process control applications. Based on Amphenol’s MIL-C-26482 series I and the original PT series, the lightweight LPT has an aluminium shell design. This metal
connector, with improved structure, also features a standard PT shell with coupling nut, making it intermateable with the PT series. The LPT includes three retention tines with stamped and formed crimp contacts that can easily be inserted and ensure retention force. LPT connectors accept wire gauges from 22 AWG/0.34mm² to 12 AWG/3.5mm², have quick positive coupling and 5 key/keyway mating to ensure that users don’t mismate when plugging into a receptacle. They are waterproof to IP67 standard and self-extinguishing to UL94 V-0. They can withstand 500 mating cycles and have an operating temperature range of -40° C to +125°C

Taiwanese LED giant Ledtech opens new facility in UK
European facility in the UK. The addition of a direct facility adds a range of value-added manufacturing services, design-in support, volume availability and security of supply on a wide range of opto parts including discrete LEDs, LED displays, lighting components and luminaires. Additionally, later this year, the company will install a full LED production line in the UK facility.
L Printers are dead, long live the printer I
t’s somewhat ironic that despite the ever-increasing connectivity and computing power of today’s phones, tablets, laptops, dedicated mobile data capture devices and portable terminals, the requirement for hard copy printed paper for receipts, quotations, job sheets, reports and certificates often causes the biggest problem for remote workers. However, there is now a huge choice of mobile printers; BVM Limited offer portable thermal printers with paper sizes from two inch wide rolls up to A4 sheets, which, supported by software drivers and apps for virtually all computing devices and operating systems, enable high quality output to be produced irrespective of location or power availability. Portable printers are typically powered by rechargeable Lithium Ion batteries, although in-vehicle printing from a fixed unit is also becoming an increasingly popular option for oil delivery drivers and others who need to leave professional looking printed documents with customers. Another increasingly important use for mobile hard copy information is in the Fire and Rescue Service, where plans of commercial buildings and large sites can be printed out while the vehicle is en route to the location of the fire.
