Hitaltech introduces full-colour printing on terminal blocks

blocks enabling quicker and more accurate wiring. The high-tech experts have introduced speedy, detailed and cost-effective full colour printing, which allows legends and coded symbols to be included on standard terminal blocks. This option was only previously available through repeated layers of single-colour pad printing, which was expensive; or attaching sticky labels, which was labour- intensive and time-consuming. Andy Fitzer, managing director of Hitaltech, said the full colour printing process had been developed to service growing demand from customers. He explained: "There is an obvious advantage to colour-coding terminal blocks. With the addition of clear legends, an electrical engineer's job is made so much easier. Tasks can be completed quicker, mistakes are less common and costly mistakes avoided. "And now, for the first time, terminal blocks are available with full-colour printing through a quick and cost-effective process. This development is set to make a huge difference in our market, and our customers are eager to begin working with them."

1. Procurement The ability to purchase at low cost, from reliable sources, with consistent component availability, is key to offering the service you need.

2. Quality Management Do they adhere to an appropriate quality management system (ISO9001, AS9100)? Do they work to recognised standards (IPC J- STD-001, IPC-A-610)?

3. Business Relations Communication is fundamental to a successful working relationship. Do they offer a personal account manager, responsible for managing the whole process?

4. Business Security Will you be in safe hands? Ask for a company history, or for testimonials from previous or existing customers.

5. Technical Capabilities: Design & Production Do they have in-house engineering expertise? Do they invest in equipment to stay at the leading-edge of the industry?

Corintech  01425 655655 PP launches videos to debate the benefits of outsourcing

PP Control & Automation has tapped into the thirst for video content and digital marketing by launching three new videos designed to debate the benefits of strategic outsourcing.

The company, which supplies electrical control systems, cable harnesses and sub-contract manufacturing solutions to many of the world’s largest machinery builders, has used the power of animation to talk potential customers through the process and how it can help them increase capacity, reduce lead times and mitigate the risk of fluctuating sales.

Videos are between 90 and 150 seconds long and are available via the company’s website and through their social media channels, with the first one focusing on ‘unlocking your growth potential’, whilst the second one asks the question…’are you losing orders because you’re too busy’.

“We have spent a lot of time and effort in exploring how we can target new markets and the techniques we can use to reach them,” explained Tony Hague, Managing Director of PP Control & Automation.

“One of the key areas we have focused on was digital media and generating new video content to promote across our website and social media channels was an integral part of this approach.”

He added: “It seems to be paying off too. The first video has already enjoyed 2500 views and really brought the topic of strategic outsourcing to the fore.

“A lot of machine builders are extremely busy with strong order books. Their current issues surround capacity constraints and increasing production and sales lead-times, which in turn can result in lost orders.

“Strategic outsourcing solutions that we offer can greatly assist in redesigning their supply chain and operational strategies and provide significant improvements without the cost and risks associated with significant additional recruitment, capex and new buildings.”

The third video introduces how PP Control & Automation has worked with Ishida Europe, a world leader in the design, manufacture and installation of weighing, inspection and packaging lines, to increase its capacity and sales.

Telonic Instruments announce the UK release of the new Kikusui PWR-01

T

he PWR-01 series are versatile instruments with models offering 400W, 800W, and 1200W rated power output with maximum rated voltages up to 650V. Equipped with a 4-times voltage and current variable ratio, making this one of the most versatile range of DC power supplies on the market today, the PWR-01 provides flexible current and voltage for a variety of applications. Variable internal impedance is a unique new feature

that allows for various types of simulations suitable for automotive test and other battery-driven applications as well as solar-panel evaluation. The PWR-01 is also equipped with a soft-start function that limits the inrush current, minimizing any harmful effects to DUTs such as DC motors. The power supplies are also equipped with ergonomic power setting knobs, allowing the operator to control voltage and current independently, as well as front-facing banana plugs designed for safety and convenience.
