XXERON HESCH electronics, a manufacturer of components for process and industrial automation, controls. The requirements were challenging: it had to be modern, robust and durable. BOPLA was able to impress with its BOCUBE industrial enclosure.
HESCH managing director Werner Brandis for almost all the manufacturer’s new developments for process and industrial automation.
But what exactly are the advantages of BOCUBE? And why did HESCH ultimately opt for this solution? The following case study provides detailed insights into the successful cooperation and shows how BOPLA met the requirements of AXXERON HESCH electronics. Read on to discover the role that functionality, durability and quality played in the decision.
HESCH was founded in 1976 by Walter Schröder, who steered the company’s fortunes for over 45 years. During this time, the medium-sized company has risen to become one of the leading providers of measurement, control and regulation technology (MSR Technik) and is now part
of the management holding company AXXERON Technologies. HESCH’s solutions are used in industrial applications, among other things, both for measuring and regulating differential pressure and for solenoid valve control. From air conditioning and dedusting systems to medical technology and heavy industry: the sectors are diverse. BOPLA supplies the “turnkey” housing including membrane keypad, and HESCH installs its own electronics in it. “We were looking for a smart solution with hinged locks that had a modern design. The BOCUBE housing family from BOPLA convinced us director Werner Brandis. “These are optimal, standardised housings that consist of a few individual parts and can be installed quickly thanks to integrated hinges and tool-free quick-release technology,” says Brandis, praising the easy handling. “This is one of the reasons why we have been able to optimise our manufacturing process and increase
In addition, HESCH appreciates the attractive appearance of the BOCUBE. This is particularly suitable for devices that are installed in the visible area or marketed as stand-alone products outside of a machine or plant. The case is available in two primary colours, grey and black, and with

a transparent lid on request. BOPLA offers grey, graphite grey, mint green, ultramarine corporate design, customers can thus set appropriate accents and visually individualise the housing on the one hand, but at the same time standardize it. Then the customer no longer has a general store, but a trademark,” says BOPLA project manager Ralf Massmann. HESCH relies primarily on the
Another special feature of the BOCUBE is the lowered surface in the lid for mounting membrane keyboards and electronics in the hinged lid. Before these are installed at HESCH, BOPLA processes the housings mechanically: interfaces, plugs and sockets, holes, threaded elbows for the cable gland – these components can be individually the housing tailor-made according to the customer’s contract,” explains Massmann. For the medium-sized company from near Hanover, this diversity as well as the standardisation of individual requirements are an important factor with which processes in the assembly of electronics In BOCUBE housings, a membrane keyboard can be easily inserted, and
