nMB provides the industry’s highest ip rated fans

MinebeaMitsumi introduces the groundbreaking K Fan series, offering top-tier ingress protection for cooling systems in challenging environments. These robust fans, ranging from 40mm to 172mm, come in 12 V, 24 V, or 48 V options and boast a tach output for precise speed monitoring and PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) speed control. Designed for demanding applications,

these fans are dustproof, waterproof and corrosion resistant due to their IP rated epoxy potting. IP68 versions withstand water immersion

to depths over 1m and are suitable for high humidity environments indoors or outside. IP69K adds the ability to withstand high temperature water jets, such as are found in food manufacturing and environments that require frequent cleaning and sterilisation. The applications for these advanced cooling fans are diverse, ranging from

Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations to refrigeration, telecommunication infrastructure, and factory automation. As industries evolve, the need for robust and reliable cooling solutions becomes increasingly critical. NMB’s K series fans stands as a technological leap forward,

addressing the challenges posed by demanding environments and providing cutting-edge cooling solutions across many harsh environment industries.

The Big Bang Fair – the UK’s largest celebration of science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) for young people – will be taking place from Wednesday 19 to Friday 21 June 2024 at the NEC in Birmingham. The Fair will welcome students aged 10 to 13 from across the UK. At the event, employers will come together to bring engineering and

tech careers to life – from the aerospace, rail and automotive industries to energy, healthcare and more. It will give young people the opportunity to meet STEM professionals, join live shows and inspiring career panels, and take part in hands-on activities. Phillip McShane, associate director - Big Bang Programme at

EngineeringUK, commented: “We’re on a mission to drive change so that more young people choose engineering and technology careers. We know that taking part in STEM outreach activities from an early age plays a vital role in changing the perceptions and attitudes students feel towards careers in the sector. The Big Bang Fair is a brilliant opportunity for employers and professional engineering institutions to help ignite a passion for STEM and inspire young people from all backgrounds to pursue careers in their sectors.” Schools and home

educators can now register for free tickets to attend.
