Mercury Electronics Europe announces new ultra-miniature ultra-low phase
noise crystal oscillators Mercury Electronics Europe has announced a new range of ultra-miniature, ultra-low phase noise crystal oscillators that are ideal for use in embedded automotive applications. The new surface mount HJ22 oscillators offer 15pF load LVCMOS output at frequencies from 20 to 50MHz with typical RMS phase jitter of just 48fs, 300fs maximum. Phase noise characteristics of -153dBc/Hz at 10kHz offset and -166dBc/Hz at 100kHz offset (49.152MHz output frequency, 3.3V input model) are significantly better when compared with standard oscillators. Housed in an ultra-miniature surface mount package measuring just 2.5 x 2.0 x 0.9mm,
the new HJ22 oscillators are available with 1.8, 2.5 or 3.3V power supply requirements and offer typical current consumption of just 3mA, 5mA maximum. Frequency stability over both commercial (-10 to +70°C) and industrial (-40 to +85°C) can be specified as ±25, ±50 or ±100ppm as standard. MEC Europe can also provide non-standard frequency stability specifications if required, e.g., ±20 or ±30ppm.

Instrument design with EA uniTFT
displays Instrument design made easy with a smart, feature packed colour IPS TFT display and optically bonded PCAP touch. The EA uniTFTs displays are available in size 2.0”, 2.8”, 3.5”, 4.3”, 5.0”, 7.0” and 10.1”. The displays are programmed using the Windows uniTFTDesigner software with screen simulator and many ready to run examples. Stand alone with on-board controller, extensive graphics functions, I/O, USB, I²C, SPI and serial interface. The displays use improved IPS-panels meaning contrast and colours are retained even at extreme viewing angles. Readable in direct sunlight with high brightness of 1,000 cd/m² and above. To complete projects even faster MMS Electronics supplies DEMOPACK boards with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, ESP32 controller, I/O, Relays, Level converters, current, CO2 and temperature sensors together with a 2.8” EA uniTFTs028-ATC touch display. The DEMOPACKs and EA uniTFT(s) displays are available from the MMS Electronics Ltd webshop.

future-proof networks Wieland Electric supports maximum flexibility and reliable industrial communication with SFP (small form-factor) ports
Faster, more adaptable, and more secure - these are the demands placed on network technology in the industrial environment. The objective is to simultaneously communicate bigger volumes of data rapidly and reliably. Wieland Electric has increased its industrial communication range in order to offer users the maximum possible options in the construction of high-performance networks. SFP ports are available for both unmanaged and managed IP switches, allowing you to respond quickly and simply to changing network technology requirements while taking advantage of fiber optic technology’s benefits. Depending on the needs and type of SFP module used, the SFP ports can be used to
Brammer Buck & Hickman release new SKF Bearing Solutions for Wind
Energy brochure Brammer Buck & Hickman, the UK’s leading supplier of industrial maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) products and services, has released a new guide, produced with bearing manufacturer SKF, aimed at the wind energy industry. The new brochure addresses the specific challenges faced in this sector, along with SKF product solutions and advice. Wind turbine operators and manufacturers are often faced with a unique set of
challenges due to remote and harsh operating conditions, which can put a strain on equipment. Combined with the issue of repair costs and long lead times, selecting the right bearing is essential to ensure reliability and longevity. ‘SKF Bearing Solutions for Wind Energy’ is an 8-page brochure that identifies the key
issues faced and highlights the SKF products that have been designed to operate in wind turbine sites. These include SKF Spherical Roller Bearings, Nautilus, Slewing bearings, Quiet Running Deep Groove ball bearings and XL Hybrid bearings. The new brochure looks at the key attributes of these – and many more – bearing units and how they could help to cut costs and improve performance. The new brochure can be downloaded from the dedicated SKF bearings section on the
Brammer Buck & Hickman’s website. Here, you can also not only find useful information on SKF’s product ranges, but also sections dedicated to industry specific solutions, including a Wind Energy industry page. Brammer Buck & Hickman is an SKF Authorised Distributor across Europe and has
an in-depth knowledge of the manufacturer’s product range, along with early access to its latest technologies. Brammer Buck & Hickman is part of the Rubix group. With turnover of more than Ð2.3
billion in 2018, Rubix is Europe’s largest supplier of industrial maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) products and services.

increase the number of conventional RJ45 copper-bound connections via CAT5/6/7 cable or to connect a single/multimode fibre optic cable. This means that the network technology can be designed to be incredibly flexible by adding extra network users or improving transmission speed. This is where fibre optic technology in particular comes into its own. It makes it possible to transmit large volumes of data reliably even over long distances. Wieland’s SFP ports are hot-pluggable, making them even more adaptable.
