Advertorial WHAT’S NEW SPONSORED BY Megaman® launches new Tono LED batten range

ecognised globally as one of the leading manufacturers of low energy lighting solutions, Megaman has

launched its latest integrated LED batten. The Tono collection offers a modern, chic alternative to the traditional T5 and T8 fluorescent luminaires, providing flexible installation and exceptional energy efficiency. The slim profile, just 24mm in depth, ensures the Tono collection is suitable for both general and task lighting. The Tono LED battens are available in

three different options, 16W, 38W and 48W, producing up to 4500 lumens, with colour temperature options of 3000K and 4000K.

ELCO’s TRIGON® XL floor standing boiler, which has been awarded a Class 6 NOx rating, with emissions as low as 34mg/kWh. As a result, consultants can breathe easily when specifying the new unit for commercial projects in the UK. Achieving a Class 6 rating with NOx emissions less than 40mg/kWh demonstrates ELCO’s manufacturing expertise and highlights how the TRIGON® XL is future‐proofed against any upcoming tightening of standards. The rating also helps specifiers when assessing project criteria under BREEAM, with three credits available if a building achieves less than 40mg/kWh. Available in seven different models with outputs

from 150‐570kW, the TRIGON® XL range offers a wealth of benefits, including: an 8 bar working pressure, 30k flow/return temperature differential and superb seasonal efficiencies up to 97.5% – all contained within an ultra‐ compact footprint. For more information on the full range of gas

Trace Air Conditioning Ltd, provides a comfortable environment and temperature control for 6 people working within the Men Rock open‐plan office area. When asked why this particular manufacturer was chosen over alternatives, Debbie Greenhill, MD of Trace Air Conditioning commented, “We wanted to offer our customer something new that was more stylish than the old system that they wanted to replace. Also, having recently installed several Haier systems, we know that it is easy to install and easier to maintain than similar equipment from other manufacturers. For example, the filters are more accessible”. The indoor unit was mounted in a fairly central location, offering long‐distance air flow of over 12 meters, ensuring everyone within the space benefits from the optimum indoor air temperature.

Metsec launches new wide flange purlins product

V

oestalpine Metsec plc has launched its

newest purlins product line, the wide flange purlin. Metsec is first to

market with the product after identifying a need in the claddings market for a flange with a wider surface for fixing to. Previously, cladders working on a project that required a larger fixing face would have to engineer a solution from existing products and work around the problem. The introduction of this product means that the roofing contractor has an on‐hand, bespoke, engineered solution which reduces the amount of materials and labour needed, as well as providing a cost saving. Kevin Jones, sales director for

Metsec Purlins, said: “Our focus is on service and meeting our customers’ needs at all times. In speaking with our customers we realised claddings

that needed a larger fixing face was a pain point for them, and so we developed our wide flange purlin product that would give an engineered, fit‐for‐ purpose solution.

“By introducing this into the

market, we aim to save both time and money for our customers as well as providing an easy‐to‐use solution that we hope will become the standard for claddings with larger fixing faces.” The product will feature in

Metsec’s new purlins brochure, the first major update for four years, due for release in spring 2017. The user‐ friendly brochure contains case studies to give examples of application and load tables for specifying solutions. Designed to be more user‐

friendly, the brochure will be released to market at the end of May.
