EDITOR’S COMMENT & CONTENTS The Building Services Forum is back
N
ext month will signal the return of the BSEE Building Services forum set to take place at the Chelsea Harbour Hotel on October 5. It’s a number of years since we have held the forum but there is a clear appetite to know more about the latest innovations and products that will play a crucial role in the journey to decarbonisation. This year the forum is focused on low carbon heating solutions – an issue building services managers will need to place high on their agendas if they have any hope of reducing carbon emissions from commercial buildings.
It’s well documented that heating is one of the biggest targets of the UK government as it seeks to succeed in reaching its stated goal of Net Zero carbon emissions by 2050.
That makes this year’s Building Services Forum all
the more important as it offers an equal platform to industry sector experts to showcase their innovations. It’s widely accepted that a combination of technologies will need to be adopted in order to sucessfully decarbonise heating, so let’s focus on those innovations.
This event doesn’t aim to debate policy or promote one system over another, but aims, rather, to zone in on the technology itself. It will inform and educate visitors about what solutions are out out there, where they fit in on the path to decarbonising heating and how they can help commercial businesses achieve their goals. There is more about the Building Services Forum and the speakers who have already confirmed on pg 4.
