EDITOR’S COMMENT & CONTENTS BSF 2023 showcases low carbon heating
O
n October 5, the Building Services Forum (BSF) 2023 will shine a spotlight on low carbon heating technology, widely expected to play
an important role in decarbonisation. Although the government has announced a shift in how it intends to get to Net Zero emissions by 2050, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak reiterated the government’s commitment to the deadline, in a statement on September 20 .
This means the industry must stay the course to find and develop solutions while ensuring that there are enough skilled installers to meet demand and keep country on track for that goal.
As a low carbon heating extravaganza, the Building Services Forum will offer an equal platform to experts in the sector to showcase their innovations and opens a dialogue between all invested parties .
The day’s events will include an outstanding line up of speakers who will address subjects including: • The benefits of hybrid and multi component renewable solutions • Commercial heat pumps for the built environment • The return of solar thermal • Energy & carbon saving additives for HVAC Systems • The benefits of district energy and its role in reducing carbon emissions • The drive towards low GWP refrigerant use and the equipment to consider with alternative refrigerants • How to effectively reduce heating and cooling bills in commercial buildings using air barriers. It promises to be an excellent day filled with useful
information for the building services professional. See more on pg 6.
