Biosite featured in the Sunday Times Hiscox Tech Track 100 for second year running

iosite Systems, a leader in

technology-enabled solutions for the construction industry, has been recognised as one of the fastest-growing technology companies in the UK for the second year running. Biosite is the only company focused on the construction industry to feature in the Sunday Times Hiscox Tech Track 100 league table this year.

The league table ranks Britain’s private tech companies with the fastest-growing sales over the last three years and Biosite’s listing follows an impressive period of growth, as the business focuses on developing innovative technology and software solutions designed to optimise operational efficiency, improve health and safety and ensure compliance on site. Li Wang, managing director at Biosite Systems, commented: “We’re thrilled to have been recognised in the Tech Track league table two years in a row. It is testament to the ongoing vision, dedication and ‘can do’ attitude of the entire team here at Biosite and our drive for continuous improvement. “We are

innovators in technology and software, helping transform the construction

industry, whilst giving our customers peace of mind they are in control of their sites. Our customers are an integral part of our success story and I’d like to thank them for their support and belief in the Biosite solution.”

BESCA and SELECT collaborate on electrical contractor competence scheme

he certification body BESCA, which is part of the wider BESA Group, has announced a collaboration with SELECT, the electrical contractors’ trade association in Scotland, to allow electrical contractors who are SELECT members to apply for membership of the BESCA Competent Person Scheme (CPS). The two associations have signed a recognition deed to set out the terms in which SELECT members can apply for the BESCA CPS. This means SELECT members carrying out controlled services work in England and Wales will be able to self-certify that their works comply with the building regulations, without the need to notify Building Control in advance, or incur costly local authority inspection fees

SELECT members will be subject to an exclusive application process involving an initial document and technical review by BESCA. Members will also benefit from reduced BESCA scheme fees and fast track membership due to technical requirements of the scheme being met by SELECT’s technical competence assessment of the member. BESCA’s director of certification, Rachel Davidson, said: “We are delighted to finalise this collaboration. Both our organisations will reap the benefits of this great new partnership.”
