The role of sensor-based technology

Once hands are removed, the sensor immediately triggers the tap to stop the flow of water. The Vecta+ series also has an intelligent safety shutoff after 60 seconds of continuous use, further preventing water wastage or potential flooding. The entire washroom can in fact be controlled by sensors, preventing water flow until someone enters the room. The Sensazone system, for instance, is an intelligent leak prevention system that uses sensors to automatically open the water outlets, allowing water to flow when a washroom is occupied, it then shuts off the water once no motion is detected. This reduces the risk of flooding when buildings become unoccupied for long periods of time, minimising utility bills and water wasted.
