Unicrimp adds Earth Electrode Box to Earthing Rods range
U
nicrimp’s latest new product development activity sees the addition of a 20mm conduit Earth Electrode Box to the
company’s growing Earth Rods and Components range. The Earth Electrode Box protects the connection
to an earth electrode. It is compatible with 20mm conduit, with provision for brass earth terminal and is suitable for countersunk installation providing easy access for checking. It is supplied with a warning printed lid screwed into the box. Unicrimp first launched its range of earthing
rods and component products in 2019 and continues to expand the range to offer installers a onestopshop facility for all their earthing component requirements. Earth Rods, or Earth Electrodes, are conductive
metal poles buried directly into the ground and connected to the Earth circuit of an electrical installation. If there is a fault, they provide a low resistance path that allows electricity to safely dissipate out into the ground.
An effective earthing system is a fundamental
requirement of any modern structure or system for both operational and safety reasons. Without such a system, the safety of a structure, the equipment contained within it and its occupants are compromised.
All Unicrimp earthing products meet British,
European and international standards and all components are manufactured from high quality materials designed to ensure long lasting performance even in the harshest soil conditions. They are supplied with a one year manufacturer’s warranty as standard.

excellent way to maximize heat distribution to virtually eliminate hot spots and provide the utmost in comfort. The combination is gentle even heat results in one of the most efficient and effective gasfired, low intensity, Radiant Heating systems in the industry today. CORAYVAC radiant heaters can provide even
heat distribution from a vacuum design with uniform tube temperatures. CE design certified, the complex burner box design includes a
ombat Heating Solution, Europe’s leading developer and manufacturer of energy efficient radiant and warm air heating
protective enclosure allowing minimal heat exposure to valuable electric controls. Available in natural gas or propane gas, the burner is equipped with a fully automatic, three try, 100% shutoff, direct spark ignition module. The new deign offers a deep dish, wide
parabolic design reflector with 12 surfaces that reflect 100% of the infrared energy that it received from the heat exchanger tube directly to the floor, resulting in an outstanding heat efficiency factor. This custom designed system can provide an
unlimited number of design options. In addition, multiple burners per pump result in reduced building penetrations and installation costs.

compact, firerated, dimmable downlight, which packs an array of features into its shallow profile. Its powerful SMD light source, paired with a 60⁰ multifaceted, Halogeneffect lens, produces exceptional light quality. The lumen output has been increased to 93LM/W Warm White and 103LM/W Cool White and it offers 35,000 hours lifetime. There are two Nano V2 models Fixed and Adjustable. The Adjustable version allows the luminaire
to be moved and directed to where light is needed. Both feature a compact, highpowered driver which is suitable for installation in a fire rated ceiling. Nano V2 Fixed is designed for a 60mm cut out, with a depth of 49mm, while the Adjustable version is designed for a 75mm cut out, with a depth of 54mm. Both feature the Flow Connector, the prewired connection system that speeds up installation and allows faster removal for testing and replacement of components.

New and improved Inceptor Nano V2 from Ovia
via has taken its popular Inceptor Nano firerated, dimmable downlight and
Inceptor Nano V2 offers a 30, 60,
and 90 minute fire rating, and is acoustic and airflow compliant. There are 12 Inceptor Nano V2 products in the range, with both the Fixed and Adjustable Bezel designs available in three finishes White, Chrome and Satin Chrome and in two colour temperatures Warm White and Cool White. With an ingress protection rating of IP65 for the Fixed bezel and IP54 for the Adjustable, they are both suitable for use in situations where moisture and low pressure water jets are a factor such as kitchen, bathroom and wet room installations. Available separately is an insulation support backet. This has been developed to allow installers to
lay thermal insulation directly over the top of the Inceptor Nano V2. The removable bracket creates a 20mm air space above the driver to allow air to circulate and cool. Competitivelypriced, the highperformance Nano V2 5.5W LED downlight is suitable for a variety of
domestic applications. It is supplied with a five year warranty as standard.

Scolmore adds decorative accessories to its Click Smart+ range
s the market for home automation products continues to show strong
growth, consumers and building owners are turning to more decorative finishes for the smart products on display in their homes and properties. In anticipation of growing demand in this area, Scolmore has added a raft of new decorative sockets to its Click Smart+ range. The comprehensive range of Click Smart+ products launched last year was created to simplify and streamline connected home products – lighting controls, smart sockets, security cameras and sensors. Now the company has added smart products in some of the company’s most popular ranges. 1 and 2gang smart sockets are available in the Definity screwless, Deco+ premium decorative and Deco decorative wiring accessories ranges. A new Click Smart+ Fused Connection Unit has also been added to the Mode antiviral and antibacterial smart wiring accessories range, providing users with the ability to control appliances throughout the home – ovens, hobs, dishwashers, heaters etc. They can be turned on or off by voice control or smart device with the Click Smart+ app or with an automation. The Click Smart+ range utilises Zigbee technology – one of the most widely adopted smart home communication protocols. Zigbee certified devices require the Click Smart+ Hub and communicate with each other using a mesh network which creates multiple pathways for the connection of multiple smart home devices without compromising signal and communication range.
40 BUILDING SERVICES & ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER MARCH 2022
A key benefit of Zigbee and the new Click Smart+ range is that there is no requirement for a signal repeater, as all the hard wired devices have repeaters built in. Installation is simple and flexible, with no additional cables or wall cutting required, making it ideal for existing or newly constructed buildings. The bespoke Click Smart+ App gives householders ultimate control of the smart devices, which can also be operated through voice control in conjunction with a smart speaker. The full range comprises the Smart Gateway
Hub the control centre of all Zigbee connected devices onegang and twogang smart sockets, a plugin smart socket, fused connection unit, switching and dimming receivers, camera, PIR sensor, window, and door sensor, plus a temperature and humidity sensor.
