Waterloo supplies air distribution products for historic Rusacks St Andrews hotel
T Circoflopro publishes Big Red Book T
he new Big* Red Book of Straightforward Underfloor Heating, from CircofloPro, is a handy, A5sized guide to help the trade specify the most suitable solution for their project – with the * after the Big indicating that it’s small enough for the glovebox, toolbox or dashboard and most people’s pockets. The 60page publication has been printed in colour, with clear photography and technical diagrams
throughout to illustrate each product, its installation method and the variations/options available if required. For any plumber or small builder yet to get acquainted with the benefits of buying their underfloor
heating kit via CircofloPro, the handy guide will explain the costsaving convenience of sourcing area specific packs, containing the required pipework and other components. The screeded Staples system is covered along with ClipRail, CircoBoard and FloFloor, as well as LowDeck Plus and TileDeck Plus, each one accompanied by its features, benefits and potential applications. As an aid to takeoff and ordering each overview includes a Technical Product Specification box, listing the product’s name, order code, pack quantity, the number per square metre required plus unit dimensions, pipe diameter and, lastly, suitable floor coverings. Manifolds, pumps & mixing valves, wireless and hardwired controls are all looked at, as are thermostats and the allimportant controls. Useful wiring schematics are set out, as is an overview of floor coverings used with UFH. Correct specification is critical to the success of any installation – prompting the chapter on heat outputs and how to decide if the chosen system will suit the building’s heat loss performance. Here, CircofloPro provides coloured graphs allowing the user to read off the output in watts/m2 from
where the TOG value for the floor covering intersects different flow temperature lines and as CircofloPro is all about making the installer’s life easier, The Big* Red Book ends by listing the company’s help and advice line phone number. Plumbers and other customers can download from the website.

WRAS Approval for Keraflo Mechanical Tank Valves – unique to the UK market
K
eraflo, the leading developers, designers and manufacturers of electronic tank management systems and delayed action mechanical float valves, are delighted to announce the WRAS reapproval of their Mechanical Tank Valves. The WRAS approved range includes bestsellers:
Aylesbury K Type Float Valve, Aylesbury KAX Type Float Valve and Aylesbury KBType Float Valve. Absolutely fit for purpose as we continue to live in an environment of flexing building use, the
Aylesbury KP Float Valve system products are designed for precisely this purpose and have been utilised successfully across many types of buildings. In addition, the unique KP Twin Float Valve Kit is specifically designed for twin tank/partitioned tanks. It uses a KB delayed action pilot valve in each tank or division. As the water level drops, whichever pilot valve opens first actuates the main control valve filling both sides simultaneously whilst still giving the option of isolating one tank or division leaving the other side in service. The purpose of WRAS is to contribute to the protection of public health by preventing contamination of public water supplies and encouraging the efficient use of water by promoting and facilitating compliance with the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations and Byelaws. This is exactly what our range of valves do so we’re delighted it has been recognised once again by WRAS, as an endorsement of Keraflo’s commitment to providing compliant solutions that offer the same failsafe, longlife operation that is the hallmark standard in mechanical float valves for the UK.” For more technical and pricing information, call us on or visit the website.

comprehensive system, delivering highly efficient heating and instantaneous bulk hot water production within the complex. The main contractors for the project were Ark Mechanical and Electrical, which specialises in providing a complete M&E solution for large complex residential projects. Commenting on the installation, Titus Hall, Mechanical Project Manager at Ark M&E said: “The entire
installation process of all of the units was really simple and straightforward, especially for a project of this scope. Plus, the after sales team at ELCO provided great technical support and customer service throughout.” Each TRIGON® XXL unit utilises a stainless steel heat exchanger and optimised combustion system to
achieve ultralow NOx emissions. This was an essential feature for the Regent’s Crescent project to ensure air quality is not affected in the capital, while the boilers’ gross seasonal efficiencies of up to 95.9%* are delivering a reliable and robust lifetime performance. The boilers are connected to ELCO’s Nexus Dual Stage Combined HIUs, which provide heating and cooling outputs up to 20kW, along with large volumes of instantaneous DHW up to 150kW – perfect for premium Regent’s Crescent residential apartments. In addition, all the HIUs benefit from an optimised SWEP stainless steel heat exchanger, while electronic PID controls and sensors ensure comfortable temperatures for the residents in the deluxe accommodation.
