IN FOCUS Essential Guide to Water Tank Management Keraflo Launches 2026 Edition of its K
eraflo, one of the UK’s leading manufacturers in the field of water management in commercial and public buildings, has announced the release of the 2026 Edition of its Essential Guide to Water Tank
Management. Building on the success of its original ‘Think Tank Guides’, this updated edition provides an essential resource for facilities managers, building maintenance engineers and health and safety specialists navigating the complexities of cold water storage. The original guide, which set the industry standard for professional good
practice, was widely praised for its accessible and comprehensive advice on everything from temperature control to visual inspections. The 2026 Edition expands on this foundation, addressing critical new challenges such as changing water regulations, heightened scrutiny on water conservation, and the latest advancements in tank management technology. "These are designed to be accessible, easy-to-digest guides for building owners and managers looking after their cold water storage tank, and that’s certainly the feedback we’ve had so far from people who have downloaded it," says Neil Weston, Sales Manager at Keraflo. "Maintaining a tank is not complicated, but there are safety issues and legal responsibilities attached to owning a tank, all of which are designed to protect building users. Establishing a sensible routine of care is key to ensuring the tank and the water within it remains safe to drink. We hope these guides will quickly become essential reading for facilities managers and their teams." The 2026 Edition has been updated to reflect the current operational environment, placing a strong emphasis on compliance, efficiency, and safety. Key additions include: Enhanced Focus on Water Savings and Efficiency: With water scarcity becoming a pressing issue,
the guide details how to optimise tank capacity to match demand, preventing both stagnation and unnecessary water waste. It highlights the role of intelligent systems, such as Keraflo's Tanktronic, in managing fluctuating occupancy levels to conserve resources. Navigating Changing Regulations: The compliance landscape is constantly evolving. The new guide
provides a clear overview of the latest UK regulations and standards, including the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999, HSG 274 Part 2 (Legionella control), and BS 8558. It ensures that building operators are fully equipped to meet their legal obligations and avoid costly penalties. Advanced Troubleshooting and Maintenance: The updated edition includes a comprehensive
troubleshooting guide for common issues such as warm stored water, overflowing tanks, and imbalanced twin chambers. It also provides clear criteria for deciding whether to repair or replace an existing tank, ensuring long-term system integrity. Mitigating Legionella Risks: In light of recent public health data showing persistent risks from poorly managed water systems, the guide offers updated best practices for temperature control and preventing stagnation, which are critical in combating Legionella and Pseudomonas. The Essential Guide to Water Tank Management (2026 Edition) is an indispensable tool for anyone responsible for the safety and efficiency of commercial, industrial, and institutional water systems.

Product Declarations for ArmaComfort® acoustic insulation range
Armacell publishes Environmental • •
EPDs issued by Instytut Techniki Budowlanej (ITB) and published on EcoPlatform
• Comprehensive EPD coverage for acoustic insulation products
Lowest carbon footprint among comparable EPD- documented products
Armacell, a global leader in flexible foam for the equipment insulation market and a leading provider of engineered foams, has expanded its sustainability documentation with the publication of Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for its ArmaComfort acoustic insulation portfolio. Issued by the Instytut Techniki Budowlanej (ITB) and published on EcoPlatform, the EPDs provide
transparent, verified data on the environmental performance of ArmaComfort products across their entire life cycle. With this step, Armacell offers one of the most comprehensively EPD-covered acoustic foam insulation portfolios on the market today. The declarations confirm that ArmaComfort products achieve a particularly low carbon footprint compared with alternative foam solutions for the same application scope, supporting more informed material choices in sustainable building design. EPDs provide independently verified information on the environmental impacts of construction
products, from raw material extraction and manufacturing through use and end-of-life. Based on international standards such as ISO 14025 and EN 15804, they are an essential planning tool for architects, engineers and specifiers working on projects targeting green building certifications such as LEED®, BREEAM® or DGNB. The newly published EPDs cover the ArmaComfort portfolio for noise control in building services, including the multilayer ArmaComfort AB range and ArmaComfort Barrier products. By making this data available via EcoPlatform, Armacell ensures broad accessibility and comparability within digital building planning processes. “Environmental Product Declarations play a crucial role in enabling transparent, life-cycle-based decision-making in the construction sector,” says Pascal Raphoz, Director Global Acoustics at Armacell. “By providing EPDs for our ArmaComfort portfolio, we support our customers in meeting increasingly stringent sustainability requirements while also demonstrating the low carbon footprint of our acoustic insulation solutions.” Armacell has been actively involved in EPD development for many years and continues to expand
its portfolio of verified environmental data. The new ArmaComfort EPDs underline the company’s commitment to combining acoustic performance, fire safety and sustainability in modern building services applications. The EPDs are available on the ITB website and EcoPlatform:

Ovia Introduces Infinity COB LED Strip for seamless lighting
O
via, part of the Scolmore Group, has expanded its domestic lighting range with the launch of
the Infinity COB LED Strip, designed to deliver smooth, dotless illumination for residential and commercial applications. Created to meet growing demand for discreet architectural lighting, the strip provides consistent light output and clean visual lines, making it ideal for kitchens, living areas and refined commercial environments.
Seamless COB technology Using Chip on Board (COB) technology, LED diodes are mounted directly onto a printed circuit board and coated with a phosphor layer that acts as a built-in diffuser. This construction produces continuous, uniform light without the visible spotting common in traditional LED strips, resulting in a clean, continuous lighting effect.
Standard and Pro Series options The Infinity range includes Standard and Pro Series options to suit different project requirements. The Standard range delivers an average light output of 100 lumens per watt and is available in 8W
and 12W versions, supported by a three-year warranty. For projects requiring brighter output and cleaner light, the Pro Series offers an enhanced output of
135 lumens per watt and is available in 6W, 9W and 12W variants. The Pro Series is backed by a six-year warranty, providing additional assurance for installers and end users. Both versions include 50mm cutting points for precision, and are available in 5M, 30M and 50M
reels (product dependent). Two ingress protection ratings are available: IP20 for standard indoor applications, and IP67 for installations where protection from moisture or dust is required. Each strip is supplied with a 1M starter lead and 3M adhesive backing tape to support straightforward installation.
Advanced control options The Infinity COB Strip supports remote controls, wall panels, RF receivers and Zigbee connectivity. Smart features include synchronisation across multiple units and RF signal broadcasting within a
30m range. The strip also integrates with Scolmore’s Click Smart+ Hub for expanded smart-home functionality (sold separately). The remote and control panel is available in a black or white finish.
