hen it comes to installing piping systems, every installer knows that cutting corners can lead to disastrous consequences. Leaks are the last thing any installer wants to deal with, whether it’s in a residential building or a critical space like a server room. Few plumbers
relish the idea of returning to a site for repairs just weeks after completing a job. Enter SANHA, a prominent German manufacturer specializing in piping systems for heating, cooling,
gas, drinking water, and solar applications. Unlike some competitors, SANHA doesn’t just talk about quality – they live it. All fittings and pipes are meticulously crafted in their European factories, and every system undergoes rigorous certification by various authorities to guarantee top-notch quality and safety. With roots dating back to 1964, SANHA has been a trusted name in the industry. The company has strategically expanded its production facilities to Belgium and Poland, maintaining an impressive in-house production rate of over 85 percent. This commitment to self-manufacturing ensures a consistently high standard, a crucial factor when dealing with tolerances in piping systems. SANHA’s diverse range of piping systems, including stainless steel, copper, silicon bronze, carbon
steel, brass and multi-layer composite pipes, caters to various applications and requirements. All systems are certified by a multitude of reknown certiying institutes such as the British Standards Institution (BSI) for compliance with relevant British standards. Notably, SANHA holds the Water Regulations Advisory Scheme (WRAS) approval for products like copper, stainless steel, or their unique lead-free series made from silicon bronze, making them suitable for contact with drinking water. The manufacturer is also the first to provide piping systems for H2, tested by KIWA and the German DVGW. By opting for SANHA’s quality piping systems, installers unlock tangible advantages rooted in European production and certification. These include high performance, durability, reliability, safety, and sustainability. SANHA’s dedication to providing innovative solutions and excellent service underscores their commitment to supporting installers across Europe and beyond, addressing the real pain points in the installation process.

Gilberts Helps Everybody Get Better Health in Cheshire East
he £10m redevelopment of Congleton Leisure Centre is the latest step by Cheshire East Council to deliver on its policy to provide a sustainable, well designed and durable environment for its people and buildings.
Run on behalf of the Council by Everybody Health & Leisure, the new Centre has been constructed by
Pulse Design & Build, with plant & screening louvres from Gilberts Blackpool specified. In total, three banks of Gilberts’ WG75 louvres with self-mullion supports have been purpose- designed and installed, for maintenance, screening and ventilation of the CHP and pool ventilation. The latter has been finished in 60µ marine grade powder paint on the inside to resist the high levels of moisture within the exhaust air from the pool hall. To compliment the two-storey building’s aesthetics, the channel-framed maintenance and CHP louvre screens- up to 1.6m high- have been designed to enable internal removal in sections. The permanently- fixed pool screens- divided into three sections up to 1.5m high for ease of installation- have been flanged to enhance the smooth lines of the façade cladding. The configuration will ensure optimum efficiency of the plant and internal environment so that everyone working in or using the state-of-the-art pool, soft play, café, sports hall, gymnasium or thermal suite will do so in comfort. Gilberts’ WG louvres feature a 75mm blade pitch to achieve a balanced appearance whilst attaining a
50% free ventilation area with high resistance to weather ingress. Gilberts has developed its louvre product range over the years to provide a comprehensive package
to keep pace with the evolution of building design and structural interfaces, initially and as/if the building structure is altered. Thus it now has ranges of standard, high performance, site assembled and acoustic louvres, available in a range of ratings for weight, ventilation, weather, insects and bird ingress. Even fixings can be tailored to individual site preferences. Innovatively, with its in-house design expertise, Gilberts has the capability to create bespoke configurations which can be both CFD modelled, and tested within its own laboratory to give customers complete ‘fit for purpose’ peace of mind. Gilberts also offers a comprehensive range of PPC,PVF and PVF2 coatings across its louvres, available in any RAL colour, applied to louvres of almost any size. Founded 60 years ago, and still family-owned, Gilberts is the UK’s leading independent air movement engineer. It is unique in its ability to design, manufacture and test all products- including bespoke fabrications- in-house, to the extent it even designs and manufactures its own tools at its 140,000 sq ft head office and production facility.
