CASELLA’S VAPEX SAMPLING PUMP WINS NEW PRODUCT OF THE YEAR AWARD

and Safety’s 2019 ‘New Product of the Year Award’ for its VAPex Personal Low Flow Sampling Pump. Casella’s VAPex Personal Low Flow Sampling Pump was selected as the best new product in the Industrial Hygiene: Air Sampling category by a panel of three highly qualified judges. Tim Turney, Global Marketing Manager at Casella, said “We’re thrilled that the VAPex has been recognised among this year’s best products by a publication as well regarded as Occupational Health & Safety. We’re proud that the user-focused features of the VAPex have put it ahead of other air samplers, following in the footsteps of our other award-winning products.” The 11th edition of the annual awards program was highly competitive, as Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) editor Sydny Shepard, explains: “OH&S’ ‘New Product of the Year Award’ saw an outstanding number of entries for 2019, proving that industry manufacturers are dedicated to producing products that optimise worker safety.”

ENDRESS+HAUSER ACHIEVES UKAS ACCREDITATION E

ndress+Hauser’s wet flow calibration rig, based at the company’s UK headquarters in

Manchester, has been awarded UKAS accreditation. UKAS ensures that companies meet the requirements of ISO 17025, the international standard for testing and calibration laboratories. The rigorous auditing process tests the quality and method of the calibration as well as the competency of technicians carrying out the work, the process of creating and storing documentation and the traceability of reference standards. “It’s a trust issue,” explained Mohsin Patel, Internal Repair and Calibration Team

Leader. “Because we’re UKAS accredited, customers can trust us and know that we provide a quality service. It means they can rely on the accuracy of their flowmeters, which is vital for quality-critical applications in the life sciences, oil & gas and food & beverage sectors.”

Accredited and cost-effective

Endress+Hauser said it aims to become the number one calibration provider in the UK. “Compared to the other accredited calibration laboratories in the UK, we are competitive on price and offer a better turnaround,” said Mohsin Patel.

ELECTRONIC SIGNAL FILTERING AND SIGNAL CONDITIONING SOLUTIONS SINCE 1965

K

emo manufactures an extensive range of Signal Filtering and Conditioning equipment. Our product lines include analog, anti-aliasing, highpass/lowpass and

bandpass filters, to name a few. Kemo has many years of experience, and is the proven choice for engineers. We hold a large range of stock filters for quick solutions to noisy signals. We aim to make electronic filters which provide consistent performance within filter response types from year to year. This enables our customers to collect data and analyze it with confidence. To do this we are like top quality chefs, we only use the best ingredients. Many of the capacitors we use are specially made for us, using the most stable materials available today. In many of our systems we match the capacitors to less than 0.02%, this gives us very consistent electronic filters, which are close to their theoretical performance. To the end user this means very consistent performance across a wide number of channels.

vertical sensitivity of 500 µV/div, making the SDS5X a perfect tool for debugging small signals. One of the best features of this new platform is the usability. The scope includes a large 10.1” touch screen that includes gesture operation and a clear layout that makes the scope extremely easy-to-use. For example, setting up the zone trigger is as simple as drawing a square with your finger.

STANDARD SERIAL BUS TRIGGERING AND DECODER, SUPPORTS PROTOCOLS: I2C, SPI, UART, CAN and LIN.

T

he new Siglent SDS5000X Oscilloscope series is available with a bandwidth up-to 1 GHz, a maximum sample rate of 5 GS/s, and a maximum acquisition memory of 250

Mpts. It features powerful data analysis and measurement features and is well equipped to solve the complex challenges of embedded circuit design.

SDS5000X-series is available with bandwidths of 350, 500, and 1 GHz, features a maximum sample rate of 5 GS/s, 250 Mpts of acquisition memory and a waveform-update rate of up-to 110,000 wfm/s. To help maintain high test speeds, many of its waveform analysis features are implemented in hardware.

The SDS5X includes a full digital trigger with qualified and zone triggering to help isolate faults more quickly. This technique enables a highly sensitive and accurate trigger control. It also includes a new low noise front end that delivers an industry leading

70 For multi-domain analysis, the oscilloscope has hardware-based frequency analysis

utilizing up-to 2 Mpts for the FFT-calculation. This deep memory FFT provides higher frequency resolution than many other FFT based systems. Furthermore, the SDS5X can be upgraded to include MSO/16 digital channels and an external 25 MHz arbitrary waveform generator at any time.

For serial bus troubleshooting, the SDS5X includes free decoding on all low speed serial buses (RS232, CAN, LIN, and I2C) and can be upgraded with decoding kits for more specialized buses (CAN-FD, I2S, FlexRay and MIL1553B) at any time. The scope also features bandwidth upgrade options that give you the flexibility to get the performance you need at a price you can afford.

process temperatures ensures that processes run at optimum level, thereby saving energy, time and money. Therefore the integrity and reliability of the control loop from sensor to control system is so important. This can be achieved, e.g. using digital

data transmission over a bus systems which, in addition to high measuring accuracy, also offers the advantage that certain parameters can be set and controlled remotely. Advanced Energy offers a comprehensive range of infrared measurement solutions

with Impac pyrometers and Mikron thermal imagers that have a standard analog output and a variety of digital interfaces, such as RS485, Profibus DP, Profinet or Ethernet, allowing for connectivity to nearly any process system.
