Mi Group has announced the signing of an agreement to acquire TechnoLab, an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited, Berlin-based testing and analytical laboratory with more than 30 years of expertise in environmental simulation, analytical testing, and mechanical testing required for certifi- cation of high-specification applications. The acquisition broadens NMi Group’s sector footprint — adding depth in defence, aerospace, and advanced industrial technologies — and reinforces its position as an integrated testing and certification partner for manufacturers operating in one of the world’s most regulated and reliability-critical markets. Critical systems worldwide face rising perfor- mance expectations driven by the energy transition, accelerating defence investment, and increasingly complex industrial and connected technologies. Manufacturers must now prove real-world reliability under demanding conditions, not simply meet regu- latory thresholds. Germany, as a major industrial economy with deepening defence commitments, sits at the centre of this demand — and TechnoLab is well positioned within it.
With a rare combination of environmental simu- lation and analytical capabilities — complemented by mechanical testing — that few laboratories worldwide can match, and a customer base already diversified from automotive into aerospace, rail, and defence, TechnoLab brings capabilities that directly address these pressures. Berlin’s standing as an established hub for defence and aerospace activity provides a natural access point for global manufac- turers requiring qualified testing in Germany. Upon completion, TechnoLab will be renamed NMi TechnoLab and will operate alongside the

nglia Components has signed a Pan European authorised distri- bution agreement with Same Sky, the established manufacturer of an ever-expanding range of product
technologies, including audio, interconnect, motion and control, relay, sensor, switch, and thermal management solutions. Same Sky was formerly known as CUI Devices.
David Pearson, Anglia Components’ technical director commented: “This partnership significantly enhances our audio portfolio and expands the breadth of innovative technologies we can offer. Same Sky also brings a rapidly developing range of interconnect solutions and an extensive selection of thermal management products, including Fans and Peltier devices. We are looking forward to bringing these innovative components to our UK and EU customer base through www.anglia-live. com, our online platform.”
For Same Sky, EMEA sales director Neil Whit- tington added: “We value Anglia’s blend of modern e-commerce capability and traditional people-cen- tric service. Anglia is renowned for carrying a broad and deep inventory, which is particularly important to the many SMEs that make up a large portion of our European customer base.”

Blomberg-based Testlab GmbH (former Phoenix Testlab), the group’s existing EMC and radio testing facility in Germany — creating an inte- grated platform spanning environmental, analytical, mechanical, EMC, and radio testing, capable of supporting manufacturers from early development through to market access.
Yvo Jansen, CEO of NMi Group, commented: “The systems society depends on, from energy networks to connected devices, are growing more complex and more critical to everyday life, shaped by rapid innovation and increasingly exposed to new forms of risk. TechnoLab brings genuine technical expertise in markets that are both strategically impor- tant and structurally growing. Bringing this team into the group strengthens our ability to support customers developing the technologies society increasingly relies on.” Through its integration into NMi Group, NMi TechnoLab’s customers gain access to an inter- national testing and certification platform, including
global market access expertise, advisory services, and complementary technical capabilities. The team’s established relationships and local knowledge in Berlin remain unchanged.
For NMi Group customers, the addition expands available testing services in environmental, analytical, and mechanical qualification — particularly rele- vant as manufacturers in defence, aerospace, and industrial sectors increasingly require comprehensive lifecycle assurance from a single integrated partner. Olaf Nusche, managing director of TechnoLab said: “Thirty years of building expertise in some of the most demanding testing environments has put us in a strong position to take the next step. Joining NMi Group gives our team the platform and reach to serve customers at a scale we couldn’t achieve alone. We’re proud of what we’ve built in Berlin — and genuinely excited about what comes next.”
