Science park invests for the first time in Calibrationhouse services to improve sensor testing O
ne of the UK’s leading science and innovation parks has invested in new mobile calibration
services to improve laboratory sensor testing and ensure compliance with UK safety regulations. Discovery Park in Sandwich, Kent, is home to a vibrant life sciences community for a growing number of healthcare companies. With close links to similar clusters in London, Cambridge, and Stevenage, the park currently offers a strong network of business support services and world-class laboratory facilities to more than 50 companies such as Pfizer, Concept Life Sciences, and Viatris, which work in the pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and healthcare development sectors.

On the decision to move, Ed Blair, president of Lutron Electronics, said:

This allows them to be effectively calibrated and returned to service very quickly, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing lab operations and capabilities. This saves us time and money, which is always a welcome bonus.”
