istributed by Switchtec, Sirena’s M-Line range of beacons and sounders have received an important update that expands its


potential uses and even further hones the units to the specific tasks and applications in which they are asked to perform The M-Line range of beacons has achieved IP69K Ingress Protection. A


simple solution designed by Sirena, a retrofittable collar fits around the existing product, upgrading the beacons from IP66 to IP69K. This accessory - suitable for the Sirena FLR, SLR and XLF beacons - provides very high protection against dust and high pressured and elevated temperatures of water, and is an ideal solution for the food and pharmaceutical industries. The M-Line concept is comprised of four modular domes and six


modular bases, providing a fit that is perfect product for each signalling application. The range’s unique modular concept allows each of the four domes to be mounted on any of the six bases, drastically reducing the number of parts stocked, and allowing a much more reactive response to market needs. The M-Line’s four multifunctional domes utilise the latest LED


technology, providing a high level of optical performance. The range consists of the FLR beacon which can provide flashing, rotating and steady outputs. SLR and XLF beacons offer a strobe effect, flashing and steady outputs. Lastly, the SIR-E sounder/sounder beacon provides a powerful sound output up to 115dB and a choice of 32 tones with two separate selectable outputs available at any one time. The combined SIR-E sounder beacon provides a combined high-level alarm and multifunction LED output which can offer 32 selectable tones with a steady or flashing output. The M-Line’s four multifunctional domes are available in red, green,


amber, blue and white. The XLF is also available in RGB multicoloured light output with eight selectable colours with flashing, rotating and steady outputs. The six M-LINE bases consist of a shallow base, deep base, a double

base, wall base, pole mounting base, and also a flush mounting base for recessed installations. All bases are available in grey, red, black or white. The M-Line has an operating temperature range from -30o C, available in 12/24Vac/dc and 90/240Vac, and manufactured

ow available from Martindale Electric is the new LOK6W, a fuse carrier locking off device for Henley and Lucy mains supply cut outs. Designed to restrict finger access to live contacts and prevent the


reinsertion of a fuse whilst maintenance is in progress, the LOK6W is an essential accessory to keep electricians and maintenance teams safe in accordance with Electricity at Work Regulations. In common with the LOK6, the new LOK6W features an extendable


design which also makes it suitable for larger Red Spot type fuse holders rated at 63A and 100A. Manufactured without any metal parts – to reduce the risk of use in


live working environments – the LOK6W is constructed from a resilient flame-retardant blend of polycarbonate and ABS for high strength and long-term durability.


QUICK TO INSTALL Designed in Martindale’s distinctive yellow casing, to make it easily identifiable, the new locking off device is quick to install, without the need for any tools. The LOK6W is compatible with a wide range of locking padlocks with


shackles up to 7mm wire diameter. Martindale recommends utilising the PAD11R or, for added safety, the insulated padlock PAD21R. Also available from the company is a full range of locking off kits,


voltage indicators, test lamps and proving units for implementing safe isolation procedures in all installation categories up to 1,000V CAT IV.
