Analog Devices appoints chief technology officer A
nalog Devices has appointed Alan Lee to the position of chief technology officer (CTO). In this role, Mr Lee will identify and work to advance the next- generation technologies that will disrupt and shape the semiconductor industry and its markets.
He and his team will collaborate closely with ADI customers, universities, research
organisations, and other strategic partners to incubate novel technologies and develop the ecosystems to support their market entry. “Alan is a seasoned technology executive who will help accelerate our leadership at the Intelligent Edge by working to expand our next-generation analogue, mixed signal, power, software, and artificial intelligence capabilities,”
said ADI chief executive and chair Vincent Roche. “Alan’s breadth and depth of expertise and experience across both the technology and commercial domains will support our goal of delivering significant market impact for our customers through cutting-edge innovation. BGEN promotes Simon Clarkson to chief digital officer

Mr Lower joins Altus after a successful career in the consumables space and most recently working at a senior level in customer-facing and after-sales roles for a large UK manufacturer.

New promotions support growth for Seaward Electronic N
orth East electrical test and measurement company Seaward Electronic has announced several senior appointments as it invests further in a skilled workforce and business support functions. Kyle Fitzgerald has been promoted to the position of IT manager at the Peterlee firm while instrumentation calibration services brand Calibrationhouse is boosted by promotions for Andrew Simpson and Tom Worthy, who become manager and lab manager respectively. Chad Murray steps up to the role of Seaward Electronic’s quality lead while other appointments see Brett Spence become a junior production engineer, Natasha Kirkup a junior buyer, Toni Wells a management accountant and Jade Fitzgerald an assistant accountant.
