. STAHL, a manufacturer of electrical and electronic equipment for hazardous areas, has
extended its range of explosion-protected camera systems for hazardous gas and dust environments. The EC-940-PTZ series of explosion-proof Pan-
Tilt-Zoom cameras provide high definition (HD) images for video surveillance and process monitoring, particularly for use in harsh environments where the presence of gases or flammable dust can create a potentially explosive atmosphere. Certified for use in Zone 1 and 2, Group IIC T6 (Gas) and in Zone 21 and 22, Group IIIC T85° (Dust), the cameras are ideal for a wide range of onshore and offshore applications, including oil and gas, marine, chemicals and pharmaceuticals. The Full HD, 1080p, 60fps (frames per second)
cameras feature a 30x optical zoom, which enables accurate identification of the smallest details within its field of vision, with the ability to transmit these images via Ethernet, H.264/AVC and MJPEG compression, with ONVIF Profile S compatibility, to other third-party products. Response to operator’s commands is instantaneous with fast, accurate detection of a target in all conditions, day or night. The EC-940-PTZ camera unit has a robust, AISI
316L stainless steel construction with IP66 protection, ensuring reliable performance and extended operating life in temperatures from -40°C to +60°C. The camera also has a built-in wiper for the front glass, which is automatically actuated by movements of the camera, ensuring that images are always perfectly clear.
The ATEX/IECEx certified cameras are available as pre-wired options. R. STAHL

SICK TR10 Lock Ensures PLe/SIL3 Safety Locking of Moveable Machinery Guards
providing PLe (EN ISO 13849) SIL3 (IEC 61508) protection for personnel and processes through physical locking of moveable safety equipment such as guards and screens to prevent access to, or interference with, machinery in a hazardous area. Equipped with two Output Safety Switching Devices (OSSDs), the SICK TR10 Lock is a type 4 device (EN ISO 14119)
S
and offers a choice of universally-coded or unique-coded variants. The unique-coded variant accepts only previously taught-in actuators, which means it has a high coding level and therefore removes the need for additional measures for protection against manipulation during mounting (EN ISO 14119).

helmets. The helmet’s new design incorporates ergonomic headgear and maximum adjustability to increase productivity, functionality and usability. The Sentinel A50’s high-tech features include an adjustable 5-point headgear, a 100 x 60 mm viewing area, an externally activated Grind Button, a color touch screen control panel and a front- loading convex cover lens that comes in different colour options and changes in 10 seconds. “The technology involved employs the same technology we use every day, such as on our smart phones,” says Guy Shelverton, ESAB's global product manager. “Operators can now use this technology to make their lives easier and more productive in the workplace.”
