demonstrate their competence in a number of areas covering safe isolation, risk assessment, termination into a switch enclosure, completion of a through joint, inspection and testing and finally a knowledge assessment. Those who successfully pass the assessment are eligible to apply for either a white stripe or gold ECS LV Jointer card, depending on their other qualifications. Managing Director of ETS Kevin Moloney said ‘As a

former Cable Jointer myself, I’m really pleased that our company can do something to try and assist a new generation of Jointers to achieve their aims. It’s a great trade to be part of, which is why we worked closely with Joint Industry Board Cabling Committee when they requested to help establish the assessment’.
