THE CARHARTT CLASSIC IS STILL GOING STRONG AFTER 100 YEARS! W
orkwear trends change, but some kit just gets better with time. Carhartt’s bib dungarees might have been first designed in the 1800s, but they’ve been shaped by the people wearing them ever since and are still the go-to choice for anyone who wants durability, comfort and practical storage on site.
The Iconic R01 Duck Bib Dungarees (102776), made from heavyweight cotton duck, are super tough with reinforced kick panels, double-layered knees and stretch side panels for improved fit and movement. They come in a relaxed fit so are great for layering and are practical too, with multiple pockets for tools and essentials, elastic braces and stretch side panels for a comfortable cut. Offering a broken-in feel from the start, the loose fit Denim Bib Dungarees (104672) combine comfort with Carhartt durability. They are a midweight denim so it’s easy to move when climbing, bending or working in confined spaces. Triple-stitched seams add strength where it’s needed most and a multi-compartment bib pocket with secure zip closure, along with front pockets

These bib dungarees have reinforced cuffs, double-layer knees and full circumference kick panels for added durability and practical storage, including a multi-compartment bib pocket. Carhartt also has a range of bib dungarees designed specifically for women. The Canvas Bib Dungarees (102438) combine the classic Carhartt look with a softer stretch canvas for improved comfort and mobility. They come in a loose fit so are easy to move in and have reinforced knees and multiple tool pockets so are ideal for demanding jobs. A secure zip chest pocket, additional utility pockets and a hammer loop provide extra storage so tools stay organised and close to hand through the working day.

The Canvas Bib Dungarees (102987) are for jobs that demand flexibility as well as sturdiness. They incorporate Rugged Flex technology which stretches where you need it most so it’s easier to
The materials and features might have evolved since the 1800s, but the thinking behind the Carhartt Bib has remained the same: tough, practical, comfortable workwear ready for every demanding job.

he Academic Excellence Hub at CWIEME Berlin is returning in 2026, as a dedicated platform for universities and organisations committed to promoting the many opportunities available in the field of electrical engineering to the next generation of engineers.
ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE HUB CONNECTS FUTURE ENGINEERS WITH EMPLOYERS AT CWIEME BERLIN T
The Academic Excellence Hub brings academic institutes such as the University of Bristol, Zagreb University of Applied Sciences and Arden University of Berlin alongside organisations like IEEE Young Professionals Germany focused on advancing engineering education and outreach. The dedicated space enables collaboration between academia, industry and advocacy groups, creating opportunities to inspire future talent and strengthen the network of skilled engineers entering the sector.
The Academic Excellence Hub aligns closely with CWIEME Berlin’s Future Engineers programme.
The programme connects students and graduates with companies that are seeking upcoming talent. Together, these initiatives create clear pathways into the industry, supporting both career development and long-term workforce sustainability. “Initiatives such as the Academic Excellence Hub play an important role in preparing students for the real-world engineering challenges they will face,” said Dr Anna Ermakova, Senior Research Associate at the University of Bristol. “By engaging directly with industry, we can help students develop the skills, confidence and
