Managing stress at work

Many engineers tell us they don’t realise how stressed they are until the impact becomes impossible to ignore.

Stress can creep in gradually, through an expanding workload, fatigue, or the feeling that you’re permanently ‘on’.

A lot of us feel we must simply push through. Does any of this feel familiar?

“My workload keeps increasing, but I can’t say no.”

“I have too many things to do. I don’t have time to finish projects.”

“Colleagues rely on me so much that my own tasks fall behind.”

“Work leaves me too drained to do the things I enjoy.”

“If I speak up, people will think I’m not capable.”

These experiences are common. They’re signs that stress is beginning to affect how you work and feel.

The good news is that support is available. Our online support is designed to help you recognise, manage and reduce stress in a practical, evidence-based way.
