SYDNEY FREEMAN JR., Ph.D., is the founder and director of Liberation Movement, Inc., and serves as a member of Adventist Today’s


executive board. A 2024 fellow of the United Nations, he was inducted into the 2025 Martin Luther King Jr. Collegium of Scholars at Morehouse College. Since 2018, Freeman has served as an at-large member of the Regional Advisory Committees for both the Upper Columbia Conference and North Pacific Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists.


TIMOTHY GILLESPIE, D.Min., is the mission integration vice president for the Rocky Mountain Region of AdventHealth and serves as board chair of


two separate not-for-profit organizations that deal with housing and wrap-around healthcare services for the underserved. His last position was lead pastor of Crosswalk Church in Redlands and teaching pastor for the Crosswalk Global Network of Churches, which currently has 19 campuses across the United States, Australia, and Indonesia. He has been an adjunct professor at both Azusa Pacific University and La Sierra University and has a faculty appointment with the School of Public Health at Loma Linda University. He has been married for 30 years to Sara Gillespie, and they have three exceptional young-adult children.


URIEL HERINIRINA has dedicated himself to ministry work for more than two decades and is currently the senior pastor at Glendale City


Church near Los Angeles. A creative at heart, he finds joy in music, poetry, and film. He deeply values community and inclusion and believes in the gospel’s ability to see and embrace people as they are.


LEIF LIND served the last 20 years of his career as a pastor in the Glendale City Church near Los Angeles. He is married to Taylor Ruhl. Between


them, they have three children and two grandchildren.


DANIEL A. MORA is an editor and writer, trained in theology, who writes about issues such as feminism, immigration, racism, and social justice.


JASON O’ROURKE, D.Min., is a chaplain, professor, and military veteran as well as the pastor to Emmanuel Seventh-day Adventist Church in


Chicago Heights. He lives in the Chicago area with his love, Melissa, and their two daughters.


ZDRAVKO PLANTAK, Ph.D., is director of Humanities and a professor of religion and ethics at Loma Linda University. He pastored churches


in England for 11 years and was Religion Department chair at Washington


Adventist University for 14 years. In 2023, he edited Restored! Mediating Wholeness in a Broken World.


LOREN SEIBOLD is a retired pastor, now the executive editor of Adventist Today magazine and website.


CHRISTOPHER C. THOMPSON is a pastor and author living in Beaufort, South Carolina.
